PE Global Recruitment is partnering with a leading European data centre construction contractor to appoint an experienced Project Director to oversee the successful delivery of large-scale turnkey hyperscale data centre projects across Europe.This senior leadership position offers the opportunity to shape major projects from concept to completion, driving excellence across engineering, planning, cost management and client delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Strategy:Provide strategic direction and overall leadership across multiple large-scale data centre projects, ensuring delivery excellence in terms of cost, quality and programme.Engineering & Innovation Performance:Champion technical excellence and innovation at all project stages, ensuring the most efficient and effective engineering solutions are implemented.Project Planning & Execution:Develop and execute project delivery strategies in collaboration with internal teams, driving consistency, accountability and high performance.Commercial & Financial Oversight:Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost plans and performance metrics to ensure strong financial control and value creation.Stakeholder Management:Act as the senior point of contact for clients and design teams, ensuring strong relationships and proactive communication to maintain trust and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.Governance & Reporting:Oversee the establishment of robust project management systems, documentation standards and progress reporting structures from project initiation.Health, Safety & Quality:Drive a culture of safety leadership and continuous improvement across all sites. Ensure all quality and compliance standards are met and exceeded.Team Development:Lead and mentor multidisciplinary project teams across multiple jurisdictions, fostering collaboration and developing future leaders within the organisation.Skills & Experience RequiredProven track record as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager delivering large-scale data centre, industrial or mission-critical construction projects across Europe.Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of design, construction, commissioning and handover processes.Excellent leadership and people management skills with experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a high-performance environment.Demonstrated ability to manage complex client relationships and navigate large-scale project challenges.Exceptional communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.Engineering or construction management qualification (degree level preferred).Willingness to travel across Europe on a rotational basis.
