Project Planning & StrategyDevelop and own the end-to-end implementation plan, including scope, deliverables, success criteria, milestones, and resources.Establish a robust project governance framework with clear escalation paths, steering committee oversight, and structured reporting cadence.Conduct comprehensive risk assessments; identify and mitigate technical, financial, and operational risks.Define and monitor KPIs to measure project health, system adoption, and the realisation of financial benefits.2. Implementation & ExecutionOversee all phases of implementation — Discovery, Design, Build, Testing, Training, Go-Live, and post-implementation support.Coordinate cross-functional project teams, including Finance SMEs, IT specialists, and customer consultants.Manage customer deliverables, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, technical specifications, and data security standards.Supervise system configuration, data migration, and integrationsEnsure all design decisions support scalability, compliance with controls, and end-user usability.3. Stakeholder & Change ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for project communication across all business units.Partner with executive sponsors to align the project with organisational strategy.Create and execute a comprehensive change management plan focused on engagement, communication, and adoption.Facilitate stakeholder workshops for process mapping, training, and feedback.4. Team Leadership & Vendor ManagementLead and motivate a diverse, cross-functional team to deliver on objectives.Ensure clarity of roles, responsibilities, and accountability across internal and external stakeholders.Manage performance, SLAs, and governance meetings to ensure delivery excellence.5. Quality Assurance & TransitionEnsure all deliverables meet business and quality standards before acceptance.Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validation of financial models, data accuracy, and reporting outputs.Oversee the development of training materials and end-user enablement sessions.Manage the cutover, go-live, and post-implementation support process, ensuring a smooth transition to business-as-usual operations.Conduct lessons-learned reviews and finalise documentation for future reference.Qualifications & ExperienceEducationBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline.Project Management certification (required).Change management certification is advantageous.Experience7–10 years of experience of software implementation and project management, within an Accounting and or FP&A framework.Strong background in finance transformation, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.Proven success in managing cross-functional teams and complex stakeholder environments within large or matrixed organisations.Technical proficiency with project management and collaboration tools.Experience integrating systems with enterprise applications and reporting platforms.Skills & Competencies Technical Competencies Project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) ERP, Accounting Software and or EPM system configuration Data integration and workflow automation Budget management and cost control Business process re-engineering Analytics and reporting tools (Power BI, Excel) Behavioural Competencies Leadership with a high level of emotional intelligence Executive communication and influence Adaptability and strategic thinking Stakeholder management and negotiation Change leadership and resilience Collaboration and accountability
