OverviewGovCIO is currently seeking a Project Manager to become a subject matter expert on our Team. This position is fully remote, full time and available to candidates within the Continental United States (CONUS).ResponsibilitiesGovCIO is seeking a candidate for the position of Project Manager to support the Department of Veterans Affairs BAM Portfolio. The Project Manager will be a hands-on leader who will be responsible for day-to-day direct oversight of 1+ application sustainment/enhancement project(s).Responsible for the direct oversight of legacy system sustainment/enhancement/adaptive maintenance project, including the supervisory responsibilities for multiple lead roles. Responsible for leading the team in requirements gathering, enhancements, releases etc. and ensuring completion of contract deliverables.Ensure Agile/Scrum techniques are being utilized and the project is managed following an Agile Methodology.Responsible for proactive risk management and ensuring all risks are escalated to the appropriate persons.Engage with stakeholders at all levels, creating tactics to establish and maintain appropriate stakeholder engagement.Engage with the team to ensure they stay motivated, proactive, and focused. Ensure organized change management throughout the life of the project.Ensure all project needs are met and escalate blockers to program management.Participate in interviewing/hiring of replacement or new employees, where appropriate.Responsible for the career growth and performance evaluations of all direct reportsQualificationsRequired Skills and ExperienceBachelor's with 2-5 years (or commensurate experience)Experience leading a team in an IT system environmentExperience managing a Scrum/Agile team with experience using JiraExperience working with customer to establish requirements, PI Planning and seeing a project move through the software development lifecycleStrong problem solving skillsCompetence in Microsoft SuiteStrong verbal and written skillsPositive attitude and willingness to step in, where neededPreferred Skills And ExperienceExperience working with the VAExperiencing overseeing multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience supporting program goalsExperience collaborating with other project leadersClearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.#CCSSCompany OverviewGovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.Posted Salary Range: USD $105,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
