The platform reduces time between incident detection and response by leveraging AI and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to quickly identify relevant information, inform users, and enable manual and automatic actions on realworld devices like doors and cameras.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled engineer to join our System Test team supporting Inform, our cloud-native Security Operations Center (SOC) incident management platform. This role is focused on ensuring our products maintain the high standards of quality our customers depend on for critical security operations. You will work alongside a larger test team to evaluate system requirements, design comprehensive test strategies, execute test suites, and provide clear visibility to stakeholders through detailed reporting.Key Responsibilities:Requirements Analysis: Analyze specifications, functional requirements, and existing test documents to ensure testability and identify potential quality risks. Test Strategy & Design: Develop test suites and detailed test cases for complex system features in a distributed SOC environmentExecution & Reporting: Execute test cases on regular cadences, analyze results, and effectively report all detected issues/defects with clarity and precisionComprehensive Testing: Perform functional and nonfunctional testing, including system testing, integration testing, and end-to-end workflows involving hardware integrations (cameras, doors, access control systems)Quality Advocacy: Champion quality throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring the system delivers an intuitive, reliable, and professional experienceBasic RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field2- 8 years+ of hands-on experience in manual, system, and integration testingDemonstrated experience testing largescale, high-availability, distributed systems involving both hardware and software componentsProven track record with defect logging, triage processes, and working effectively with development teamsWorking knowledge of test management tools (Jira, TestRail or similar)Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for collaboration and reportingExperience working in an Agile development environment (Scrum/Kanban)Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and organizational skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and testing effectivenessUnderstanding of test automation methodologies and principlesFamiliarity with security, surveillance, or physical access control systemsTravel RequirementsNoneRelocation ProvidedNonePosition TypeExperiencedReferral Payment PlanNoEEO StatementMotorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
