Job Location: Kota Kinabalu Kota Kinabalu (the location can be based in other city of East Malaysia)About the Role:The role of the Regional Sales Manager for East Malaysia will drive the growth of Ferrero’s General Trade business, leading a high-performing sales team and building strong partnerships with distributors and key wholesalers. The role is responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding market coverage, and ensuring the flawless execution of trade strategies.Main Responsibilities:Lead distributor field teams to maximize store coverage and optimize call frequency and route efficiencyConduct store audits and route analysis to improve sales effectivenessProvide tools, training, and coaching to help teams meet KPIsCommunicate sales plans and initiatives clearly to field teamsReview team performance regularly and set clear, aligned sales targetsEnsure Perfect Store execution with the right product mix, placement, and visibilityConduct business reviews with key customers and distributors to align on growth opportunitiesImplement trade activation plans and ensure in-store executionCollaborate on demand planning, inventory, and logistics to improve service levelsIdentify market expansion opportunities using data and field insightsPartner with Trade Marketing to execute trade programs and evaluate ROIDevelop regional sales strategies aligned with company goalsProvide accurate demand forecasts incorporating trade activitiesDrive new product listings and distribution expansionMonitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategyDeliver on KPIs including sales, distribution, trade spend, and team productivityEnsure regional team performance aligns with strategic prioritiesAbout You:University degree in Business or related fieldRelevant experience in sales, preferably in General Trade or FMCG, with strong market knowledge of GT & ISM retail landscape in MalaysiaExperience in the Sweet Packaged Food category (confectionery, biscuits, ice cream, etc.) is a plusProven track record in distributor and key wholesaler managementWillingness to travel across the regions in West and East Malaysia for meeting with Distributor Sales team, Key Wholesalers and store visitsStrong analytical skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management skillsProficiency in MS Office toolsFluence in English and Bahasa is required, Mandarin/Cantonese is a strong plusOur Benefits & Perks:Careers with caring built in - discover our benefits here.About Ferrero:Ferrero began its journey in the small town of Alba in Piedmont, Italy, in 1946.
