To be an expert in recruitment and the Cathay selection processes, tools and techniques and have a strong ability to support line managers with excellent selection decisions and nurture talent through the recruitment and selection process.To drive and execute the talent management framework for the region and work with the business units to build succession plans.Key ResponsibilitiesPeople Management To lead the talent acquisition & talent management team to deliver talent acquisition & talent management agenda for the region and ensure alignment to global/region People strategyTalent Attraction and Employer Branding Execute a professional, brand enhancing candidate experience through all recruitment and selection cycle touchpoints Act as a brand ambassador for the airlines, promoting the employee value proposition and inspiring candidates to apply for positions and accept opportunities Collaborate with various Reg PPL team in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and processes related to sourcing, recruiting, selection, promotion, transfer and onboarding Participate in HR / talent acquisition projects as requiredRecruitment and Selection Process Excellence Manage the talent acquisition team on end-to-end recruitment and selection processes from discussing requirements with hiring managers and developing commercially focused, brand enhancing initiatives, job advertisement creation, sourcing, screening, selecting, offer and onboarding Be the expert in recruitment tools and collaborate with People Operation team to ensure TA administration processes are executed with high quality of candidate experience and professionalism including the adoption of new tools and technology aligned with the global talent acquisition strategy Conduct effective and timely shortlisting to ensure the most suitable candidates are seen by the hiring managers Effectively prioritise different roles and ensure that time to fill is measured and optimised Design and conduct interview and assessment centres virtually or in person as required. Administer and interpret psychometric tests and provide insights to the hiring managers Conduct a targeted search for key roles as required Coordinate recruitment and selection activity for all applicable overseas hires or internal transfers and secondments Guide and collaborate with People Operations team and vendors to ensure all background checks are conducted in a compliant manner to ensure the quality of hires and risk minimisation Conduct phone reference checks for senior roles (Level C/B people manager) Lead the offer process, including salary negotiation with adherence to Cathay pay philosophy Manage graduate programs, internal promotion and progression programmes and activities as required Be the expert in local legislation regarding recruitment and selection processes including discrimination and data privacy regulationsLine Manager Support Review job descriptions and ensure that the job advertisement is posted in an effective, clear, compliant and appealing manner Provide expertise in interpreting test results, shortlists, interviews and assessment centre performance Provide a sounding board on candidate performance and cultural fit Provide a factual, impartial and fair assessment of candidates(continued)Requirements(continued)Onboarding Work closely with People Operation teams to ensure that the onboarding process is delivered in the local context to bring the Cathay brand to life Provide guidance to the People Operations team to manage and administer the Brushwinger platform to ensure it adds value to Brushwingers Work closely with People Operations team to ensure all onboarding administration is completed and well documentedBuild a High-Performance Culture and advance the talent management agenda Own performance management and effectiveness by ensuring the Annual Talent Review process is well managed and illustrate concepts to business units and adoption of the framework by the business and employees. Partner with Regional Comms, Eng & Development team & Country/Area PPL to build capability for performance management within the region’s line managers Provide coaching and support for managers/Area/Country PPL team on a 1:1 and group as required Draw upon centrally provided people frameworks and strategies to provide tools, guidelines and training to the Country/Area PPL to support local teamsCareer Planning Identify talent within the region and collaborate with Area/Country People team, Country/Area Heads on Annual Team & Talent processes on talent management. Partner and provide insights to Regional Comms, Engagement & Development team on training requirements and development plans Collaborate with Regional Comms, Engagement & Development team to conduct focus groups in high attrition teams to understand issues and problem solve Ensure that regional Succession Planning is regularly conducted and documented bi-annually Partner with Country/ Area PPL & Heads to manage identified talent for succession and ensure they are on track with their plans.
