Doing what's right for our customers - especially in tough times - gives real purpose to our work.Reporting to the Head of Compliance, Conduct and Quality Assurance (based in New Zealand), your day-to-day would look like:Facilitating the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, in particular, the Compliance Obligations Management Framework.Embedding the Three Lines of Defence model in Fiji and supporting its application across the Pacific entities.Reviewing and updating regulatory and legislative requirements, implementing compliance obligations, and conducting second line reviews.Coordinating regulatory reporting and engaging external legal advice when required.Guiding business stakeholders in applying Compliance requirements and conducting targeted second line assurance reviews.Facilitating Compliance training across the business.Implementing and enhancing the use of the risk management system, Protecht.Supporting internal and external audit activities.Preparing governance reports for the Fiji Board, Pacific Board, and NZ Management Risk and Compliance Committee. In your first 6-12 months, success will look like:Successfully implementing and embedding key compliance frameworks across Fiji and supporting their rollout in the Pacific.Demonstrating subject matter expertise by providing actionable insights through analysis of diverse information sources.Building strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the Pacific and wider organisation.Actively contributing to the uplift of risk culture across Fiji and Pacific entities.Improving operational efficiencies through enhanced systems and streamlined processes.Delivering accurate and timely reporting that adds measurable value to the business.Being a visible and helpful team member, contributing positively to team dynamics and outcomes.To thrive in this role, you'll need:5 years in a risk, compliance, regulatory, audit or related role, ideally within insurance or financial servicesA business-related qualificationSolid and demonstrated understanding of Risk Management and Compliance frameworks in the financial services industry including the development and embedding of the frameworks into business unitsExposure to managing regulatory affairsAbility to think and act strategically and tactically, multi-task, follow through on projects in a timely manner, and adapt to a fast-paced and changing environmentAnalytical and problem-solving skillsA high level of business acumen and judgement skills We invest in you.We're serious about looking after our people.
