Job Description

In partnership with the University of the South Pacific and the Australian Volunteers Program, we are looking for a current or retired senior University Librarian who can live and volunteer in a hybrid role both in-country (for at least three and up to ten months) and online (up to seven months) in 2026 to:support the development of a Library Network Strategy to enable the transformation of the 24 Regional Campus and Centre Libraries into modern, student-centred and digitally enhanced learning and collaboration spaces; andsupport the professional development of staff in the Library.RequirementsExtensive experience at a senior leadership level in university libraries.Extensive experience managing complex strategic reviews and implementation processes inhigher education.Experience in mentoring and supporting the careers of others.Program volunteers must be Australian citizens, or holders of a Permanent Residency Visa ofAustralia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa.ApplicationFor a complete assignment description go to the Australian Academic Volunteers Abroad website. https://www.academicvolunteers.org.au.
