Different to other engineering firms, Egis offers true end-to-end capability across the entire design-to-operation lifecycle, offering advisory, architecture, engineering, design, asset management and operations services.We are committed to creating great teams doing innovative work and would love you to join us to Impact the Future.Job DescriptionAs a Secondary Engineer working with the Transmissions team, your impact will be in the design of panel layouts, schematics, protection settings, cable/wiring schedules and related documentation related to the design of HV and EHV terminal stations and substations.Key Responsibilities:Undertaking secondary design for substations and terminal stations to a high technical standardManage outcomes within budget and project programme constraints whilst maintaining high levels of technical performanceReview work as part of the peer review process from time to time as may be requiredEffectively manage the detail design from concept through to final design implementation to agreed scope, quality, time frames and budgetsIdentify and manage scope variations according to client and/or project requirementsQualificationsTo be successful in this opportunity, you will ideally have a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience with demonstrated experience on electrical transmission projects. A requirement of this role is to be embedded in our client's team and office for several months to gain familiarity with their processes and standards, prior to working full-time back in home office. In addition, you will also have:An Electrical Engineering Degree (or equivalent)Relevant work rights to live and work full-time in AustraliaDemonstrated experience with secondary design in networks above 66 kVExperience with IEC 61850 Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholders at all levelsAdditional InformationEgis is committed to creating an inclusive, creative culture that embraces diversity and flexibility.
