Senior Advisor / Manager - International Tax and Transaction Services

As part of our ITTS team, you will be working with some of the world’s largest corporations across a broad range of industries and sectors and will be collaborating with high performing teams from across our global network of ITTS professionals. Through your work and involvement into such tax advisory projects, you will gain outstanding practical knowledge in the areas of local and international corporate income tax matters and enhance your analytical skills and strengthen your communication skills.The opportunityThe pace of change in the international tax landscape in recent years has led to an increased demand for services and support from our clients. With our business expanding accordingly, we are looking for people with high technical skills and passion for excellence and continuous development, who can assist clients on a wide range of Cypriot and international tax matters. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects which are focused on helping clients to develop and execute their international tax strategy, including: Managing the risk arising from global tax law change resulting from Global/European developments such as Pillar II Global Minimum Tax M&A transactions – pre-transaction reorganisations and post-transaction integration IP realignment/optimization transactions Corporate restructuring Tax efficient financing and treasury management Legal structure rationalisationKey Tasks & Responsibilities:Manage the successful delivery of technically complex and demanding tax advisory projects (such as mergers and acquisitions, group restructurings, debt restructurings, IP structuring etc.)Work with clients to develop innovative solutions to tax challenges which are aligned with our client’s strategies and operationsAssist with tax due diligence projects and transactional tax related workAssist in the preparation of tax ruling requestsLiaise and coordinate with colleagues both locally and across the EY networkBuild and maintain client relationships and a professional network in order to identify and develop business opportunities for the firmDevelop junior team members through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoringTo qualify for the role, you must have:Degree in Law, Finance or AccountingAt least 3 years of previous relevance experience in the tax services of a reputable large or medium-sized firmMaster’s Degree in Tax or a qualification in International Tax will be considered as an advantageACCA/ACA qualification is not required but may be considered as an advantageCommunication and project/team management skillsExperience of managing a team and/or coaching and developing more junior team membersAbility to develop trusting and effective working relationships Strong understanding of international tax concepts Knowledge of Cyprus Tax LawsOral and written communication skills in EnglishAnalytical, conceptual thinking and problem-solving skillsWhat working at EY offers:EY offers an attractive remuneration package for rewarding both personal and team performance.
