Supervisory Duties Coach and mentor new team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and ensure high-quality research output.Position Overview:The Senior Business Researcher is an experienced and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in business research, credit reporting, business intelligence, and due diligence. This role requires a proven track record of conducting comprehensive research and Investigation in the financial sector. The Senior Business Researcher is responsible for gathering information and creating highly reliable business intelligence reports based on data obtained from research, direct interviews, and other sources. This position plays a critical role in enhancing the company’s data through dependable and ethical business research. Responsibilities and DutiesPrincipal Duties:• Gather and analyze business intelligence data to provide actionable insights for decision- making.• Research and assist in producing Due Diligence Reports, Business Intelligence Reports, and Credit Reports by undertaking the following activities and others as directed by the Research & Investigation Director:Collaborate with Product Manager, Trainer, Team Leaders, Analysts, and Researchers on tasks related to the planning, scheduling, and coordination of project activities.Conduct Phone Interviews with Subjects for credit reporting purposes to obtain registration, financial and commercial information on companies.Obtain copies of official certificates and corporate records, where publicly availableAcquire trade references on companiesCompile Credit ReportsCompile Business Information Reports• Identify key industry trends, market opportunities, and potential risks affecting the credit and financial landscape.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic initiatives based on intelligence findings.• Cooperate with internal teams to provide timely and relevant research insights.• Communicate findings in a clear and concise manner through written reports and presentations.• Develop and implement effective research methodologies to ensure the accuracy and reliability of findings.• Keep abreast of developments mainly within the MEA region including changes in commercial laws, economic and political factors through specialized websites and research.• Stay current on best practices in research methodologies and incorporate innovative approaches into the research process.• Remain aware of legal availability of data in countries covered.• Assist in identifying new and alternative information sources.Other Duties:• Safeguard the intellectual rights and property of the company.• Undertake training and certification courses to improve skills and credibility.• Any other reasonable duties as required by the Head of Research & InvestigationSenior Business Researcher requirements:Skills• Good proficiency in English, French and Arabic; knowledge of additional languages such as Spanish is a plus • Excellent research and investigation skills.• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.• Proficiency in using relevant research tools, databases, and software.• Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.• Strong teamwork, communication, and networking ability.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Good organisation and planning skills.• Effective time management skills, including the ability to work on multiple reports simultaneously. • Ability to prioritize activities and show initiative.• Team player• Commercial awareness.Experience• Proven experience in credit reporting, business intelligence, and due diligence, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.• Experience with open-source research methods and techniques.• Experience in producing credit and business information reports with financial researching.• Familiarity with and understanding of reports processing.
