Senior Data Engineer

Job DescriptionWHAT YOU'LL DOIn this role, you will design and implement data-intensive solutions that power a truly data-driven organization. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will build data products aligned with our Data Mesh vision and target architecture. Develop and optimize data models for analytics and reporting. Be a champion of DevOps mindset and principles, in our context, it is GCP (Google Cloud Platform). Collaborate with the Product Manager and Business Stakeholders to deliver high-impact data solutions. Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across platforms. Work with modern data technologies on a Cloud platform (e.g., GCP). WHO YOU’LL WORK WITHYou will work within the Data Engineering Competence Area in the AI, Analytics & Data Domain, collaborating closely with Product Managers, data product teams, and stakeholders across multiple H&M brands to enable seamless data sharing and integration in a Data Mesh environment. You will also partner with cross-functional teams globally to ensure data products meet business needs and deliver high-quality, reliable data solutions.WHO YOU ARE​We are looking for people with…​4+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer on a cloud platform (preferably GCP) or in advanced analytics environmentsStrong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write and optimize complex queriesProven experience with big data, DBT, and ETL frameworksExperience with GCP services (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, etc.)Hands-on experience with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines and Git-workflowProficiency in Python for data processing and automationExposure to analytics workflows and data-driven product developmentSolid understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and performance optimizationA collaborative mindset with strong communication skillsGood if you have: Experience with SSAS or OLAP Cubes Business understanding of retail industryWHO WE ARE​H&M Group is a global company of strong fashion brands and ventures.
