Job Description

Directs the AR management functions as head of a Center of Excellence, Business Line, Mega Center, and/or many small unintegrated clients. This includes the execution of multiple business processes, such as assigned billing, customer service and collections program(s). Responsible for leading and managing staff and subordinate leadership including virtual employees. The position also involves achieving and sustaining excellent productivity and accuracy. Prepares and administers applicable budget and ensures all spending is within budgetary guidelines.Key Responsibilities:Accounts Receivable Oversight: Lead and control AR functions across diverse regions and markets, monitoring performance metrics and developing work plans to optimize collections and reduce variances.Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls, and all relevant regulatory, state, and federal guidelines.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal and external stakeholders—including leadership teams, clients, and business units—to design, implement, and improve financial and operational processes.Operational Leadership: Provide direction and guidance for site operations, coordinating with HR, Revenue Cycle Management, Legal, and other business units to resolve issues and maintain efficiency across markets.Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor Managers, Supervisors, and Analysts to foster a high-performing team culture. Collaborate with HR and Talent Acquisition to ensure optimal staffing and consistent policy implementation.Strategic Planning & Budget Management: Prepare and manage annual operating and capital budgets, monitor performance, and present variance reports with actionable insights.Change Management: Lead process improvement initiatives, ensuring smooth implementation of operational changes and alignment with business goals.We’re looking for an experienced healthcare professional with advanced knowledge of Accounts Receivable, collections, insurance processes, government programs, and appeals. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of compliance regulations and reimbursement methodologies, as well as hands-on experience with hospital-based revenue cycle operations, including Health Information Management, Patient Access, Clinical Quality and Case Management, Information Systems, Accounting, and Finance.
