The role is responsible for the execution of Procurement strategy for all Commercial functions This role is also expected to drive excellence in business partnering with key stakeholder as well as maximise collaborationThis is a critical role that will influence the future direction of APAC commercial procurement through ensuring Procurement standards, processes and governance routes are in place.This role is expected to support Head of APAC Commercial Procurement to lead with regards to vision, strategy and operating plan in line with the future direction of AstraZeneca.This individual will lead the team to work with the related global category team setting up the regional procurement category strategy that innovates and creates cost effective ways of sourcing external products and services that support improved service to stakeholders.The role provides strategic advice and leadership, programmes and tools to senior management of cluster to ensure effective delivery of necessary business outcomes through procurement initiatives.StrategyTypical AccountabilitiesProvide Regional Leadership for developing end-to-end category leadership such as category strategy development, maintaining key relationships within the business and managing key supplier relationships. This role must shape, connect and lead resources to deliver on key projects. Provide strategic input and external perspectives into the thinking and decision making of Cluster senior management team in APAC commercial business. Extended member of the key organisation leadership teams, as well as other leadership teams as required by the portfolio and plays a key role to influence the commercial business direction.Driving delivery of value – achieve business objectives, profitability and return on investment Business PartneringDevelop and maintains effective and supportive relationships across Cluster areas to understand business plans and implications and so manage, and where appropriate mitigate, business riskResponsible for effective and credible communications of AstraZeneca’s broader Procurement strategy throughout the stakeholder baseLead the team to collaborate with APAC GSCE team, local procurement team to achieve Procurement Goals & ObjectivesProcurement ExcellenceOversee Procurement processes and standards to ensure their appropriateness and guarantee compliance with internal and external processes. Resolves any compliance issues in a timely mannerLead the team to collaborate with APAC GSCE team, local procurement team to achieve Procurement Goals & ObjectivesChampion of compliance with AstraZeneca’s policies & standards of ethics LeadershipManage a team to ensure functional goals and targets are aligned to future portfolio need, and oversee, monitor and evaluate business activities so that strategies and objectives are established in alignment with the various markets and business unitsPlay a critical role to inspire, motivate and develop talents including and beyond own team.
