The Senior Director of Product Marketing – Cardiology will serve as a strategic and operational leader responsible for defining, developing, and executing product marketing strategies across the cardiology portfolio. This role will oversee upstream and downstream marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment between product innovation, clinical needs, and commercial objectives. The position requires a balance of visionary thinking and hands-on execution to drive sustainable growth and market leadership in cardiovascular health technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Market DevelopmentLead upstream marketing efforts, including market analysis, competitive intelligence, and voice-of-customer (VOC) activities.Identify, define, and prioritize new product opportunities based on emerging market trends, clinical requirements, and technological innovations.Drive the development and execution of a comprehensive product roadmap from concept through launch and lifecycle management.Influence product direction by integrating customer insights, market dynamics, and competitive positioning into strategic decision-making.Go-to-Market StrategyDevelop and implement robust go-to-market strategies for new product introductions in collaboration with Marketing, R&D, Sales, and Commercial teams.Serve as the subject matter expert for cardiology products, both internally and externally.Support sales training and enablement activities to ensure product knowledge and competitive differentiation across the organization.Establish and communicate compelling product value propositions that clearly articulate clinical and economic benefits.Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship DevelopmentBuild and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), clinicians, and industry stakeholders to anticipate future market needs and evolving competitive landscapes.Monitor and analyze competitive activity to inform market requirements and shape business planning efforts.Lead or contribute to market research initiatives that influence product strategy and business growth opportunities.Cross-Functional LeadershipCollaborate closely with Product Engineering, Clinical Applications, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment throughout the product lifecycle.Act as the voice of the customer within internal project teams, advocating for user needs and clinical relevance.Manage marketing contributions to cross-functional projects, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and successful execution.Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will be a visionary and strategic leader with a strong understanding of upstream and downstream marketing within medical imaging software. The role requires expertise in navigating both established and start-up environments, demonstrating a combination of strategic foresight, technical fluency, and executional excellence.Professional Experience & QualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field required.MBA or advanced degree preferred.ExperienceMinimum of 10 years of upstream marketing experience in medical imaging software, health technology, or MedTech industries.Proven success in conducting market research, developing product roadmaps, and driving product launches from concept through commercialization.Experience with Siemens MRI systems as a CMR technologist is highly preferred.Technical ExpertiseDeep understanding of imaging software development, including post-image analysis technologies.Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear and differentiated value propositions.Leadership & CollaborationStrong leadership skills with a collaborative, results-oriented approach.Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
