We are looking for a self-motivated, result-driven individual with a proven track record to join our Browns Group. Responsibilities:Design and develop embedded electronic systems, including analog and digital circuit design for IoT and industrial control applications.Lead PCB design, development, and troubleshooting, ensuring signal integrity, EMI/EMC compliance, and manufacturability.Develop and maintain firmware for microcontrollers (e.g., ESP32, STM32, AVR, etc), focusing on system reliability, modular architecture, and low-power optimization.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and specifications for IoT hardware components.Conduct prototype testing, validation, and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new IoT projects.Prototype and test IoT hardware solutions, including PCB design, fabrication, and assembly.Maintain coding standards, firmware architecture and source code quality, while ensuring bug fixing and application maintenance.Optimize power consumption and performance of IoT devices.Integrate sensors, actuators, and wireless communication modules (Wi-Fi, BLE, LTE, LoRa, etc.) into complete IoT solutions. Implement security measures to protect IoT devices and data.Troubleshoot hardware issues and provide ground level technical support during product development and deployment.Collaborate with functional and technical teams, participate in knowledge sharing sessions and conduct R&D for latest technologies.Develop comprehensive user manuals for print and web, covering how-to, maintenance, troubleshooting and warranty information.Document hardware schematics, PCB layouts, and firmware architectures, while contributing to continuous R&D and technology improvement.Ensure compliance with regulations and protection of intellectual property through collaboration with patent offices and control agencies.Maintain technical documentation, utilise version control systems such as TFS, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Planner and GIT while facilitating source code conversion to latest technologies.Qualifications:4+ years of experience in the related field.BSc Engineering in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualification.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.If you wish to apply for the above post, please forward your CV to us within 7 days of this advertisement.E-mail: Careerst@brownsgroup.com Human Resources DepartmentBrown & Company PLC | 34, Sir Mohamed Macan Markar Mawatha, Colombo 03
