Job Description

What Will You DoPartner with the business, FP&A team members, and CTFS/CTB leaders to produce and present insightful forecasts and management reports to facilitate decision making at various levels within the organization. Liaise with the CTC corporate planning group to support the various forecasting and planning cycles. Liaise with various CTFS/CTB departments to ensure financial forecasts are reasonable, well-thought out and achievable, as well as helping to hold those teams accountable for staying within the budgets they are provided. Support the continuous improvement of the financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes within the team, to improve efficiency and quality. Develop expert knowledge and be the subject matter expert of CTFS/CTB consolidated results; provide analysis and support to ensure the delivery of cohesive and accurate plans and identify risks and opportunities that emerge through the planning cycle. Analyze all CTFS/CTB financial statements and KPI's, completing and reviewing business commentary monthly, quarterly, and on an ad hoc basis. Complete and review submissions to CTC's planning and budgeting department including Consolidated and Direct Accountability Income Statements, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, CapEx, Key Performance Metrics, Board Reporting, and other reporting as required. Develop expert knowledge of the PeopleSoft Budgeting and Financials systems. Assist in the preparation and review of reporting and presentation materials for Senior Management and the CTB Board of Directors. Lead a variety of ad hoc projects as assigned by the AVP and/or Manager. What You BringUniversity degree or college diploma in Finance / Accounting or business-related discipline. 5+ years experience working in FP&A, accounting or a related Finance role. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; and strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to collaborate across various levels within the organization. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Results oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities under time constraints. Experience with or ability to learn the PeopleSoft and Hyperion financial systems. Results-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities. Accounting or Finance designation (CPA - CA, CGA, CMA or CFA) completed or in progress is an asset.
