You’ll also drive service improvements and mentor emerging professionals.Deliver high-level genetic counselling for complex cases with minimal supervisionCoordinate and participate in specialised genetic clinics across WSLHDSupport and train genetic counselling students and junior staffDevelop educational programs for health professionals and community groupsContribute to research and continuous improvement initiativesHow To ApplyApply online by submitting your resume, and addressing the criteria listed below by providing examples that demonstrate your ability before the closing date.Essential RequirementsQualification: Relevant undergraduate qualification, with significant experience in genetic counselling and/or a post graduate qualification in genetic counselling, in addition to having attained certification in genetic counselling, at least to the level of ‘part 1’, from the Human Genetics Society of Australasia. Registration: Human Genetics Society of Australasia (HGSA) Board Eligible as a Genetic Counsellor (previously known as Part 1 certification). Other RequirementsUnderstand and practice person centred care. Participate in quality improvement activities. Work in partnership with consumers on improving and evaluating the delivery of services.
