This is a residential position in Sharjah, with possible travel to Iraq for Business trips as and when required.Our Clients and Projects Designing the future. The role is accountable for providing Quality and inspection resources, systems, and processes to support in Pre-order and Post order, Procurement activities for various projects.Promotion of both the WOOD & Client Core valuesMaintain & implement Project Quality Plans, Quality Strategies, and ObjectivesProvide support to Lead for quality estimates for QA/QC project deliverables and inspection of procurement packages.Regular quality reporting as requiredEnsure the maintenance, documentation, and deployment of the project management systemEnsure implementation of risk-based audit programsPlan and Participate in External/internal projects and vendors/ suppliers auditsConduct site quality leadership surveillance visits, as requiredProvide input to contract quality risk registersSupport Lead QA/QC for corrective actions by approving new actions and verifying action closure, if required.Support in carrying out root cause analysis of project nonconformitiesCapture client feedback and monitor resulting improvement actionsEnsure the deployment of a robust criticality assessment process throughout projectsVerify the inspection level of products/materialsQuality input to project lessons learnedEnsure the closure of Quality requirements for project closeoutReview and provide input into technical bid evaluationsParticipation in the KOM & PIM on post ordersReview and approve necessary construction contractors, vendors, and suppliers’ documentation including ITPs and procedures, as requiredControl all Quality documentation during & upon completion of the ProjectSupport in reviewing project technical queries and specification deviation requestsAssist Lead QA/QC for evaluation of materials suppliers, manufacturers, fabricators, and NDE providersEstablish appropriate call-off arrangements with 3rd party inspection agenciesManage and raise vendors’ inspection requests and maintain inspection assignment registerPrepare inspection packages for inspectorsAssign competent, qualified, and appropriately experienced inspectors to inspection assignmentsCoordinate vendors/suppliers’ product/material inspection activitiesReview inspection outputs and highlight areas of concernReport non-conformances identified by inspectorsReport inspection queries, deficiencies & punch list itemsFacilitate the recall, quarantine, and replacement of defective products/materialsSupport the review of vendor mechanical catalogues & manufacturing records books as requiredEnsure upload of inspection reports and releases to document management systemRegular reporting of inspection statusReview and approve 3rd party inspection invoicesLiaise with the Client Quality Representative as appropriateEnsure the closure of inspection requirements for project closeoutQualificationsWhat makes you remarkable? It will take all of us working together to deliver solutions to the world’s most critical challenges.Knowledge, Skills, And Experience Degree in Engineering (Mechanical background) IRCA Certified Lead Auditor -ISO 9001-2015 Welding inspector certification preferably CSWIP 3.1/3.2 or equivalent NDE Level II qualification Painting Inspector certification – NACE Level II or BGAS Minimum 10+ years of Oil and Gas experience Previous Experience in Procurement support activities in EPC/PMC projects Middle East experience in Post order Vendor packages, Major packages, Pressure Vessels, API 610 Pumps, Rotary Packages, Control Valves, Skid Packages, Duplex materials is mandatory Exposure to IRAQ Contracts desirably but not mandatory Good planning and organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Job Specific Skills Good planning and organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Good level of communication skills in both written and spoken format Analytical, Problems Solving skills and Systematic thinking Demonstrated ability to work independently with good initiative and interpersonal skills Ability to work within multi-cultural workforces and environments Empower others to make decisions within established parameters Excellent planner and organizer Analytical, problem solver and systematic thinker Excellent interpersonal skills and team player About UsWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
