We’re passionate about leveraging AI to code smarter and ship faster, bringing products to life quickly and efficiently.Role DescriptionWe are hiring a Senior Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to define, implement, and execute test strategies across web and mobile applications. You will own the full QA lifecycle — from planning test processes to ensuring delivery of defect-free, high-performance products for our clients.The ideal candidate has strong experience in both manual and automated testing, a deep understanding of SDLC and QA processes, and takes accountability for product quality.This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.Responsibilities Ownership of QA for Projects: Lead QA efforts for client products, ensuring end-to-end quality across all releases.Test Planning & Strategy: Define test plans, test cases, acceptance criteria, and QA policies for web and mobile platforms.Manual & Automated Testing: Execute functional, regression, UAT, performance, UI/UX, and API testing, supported by QA automation skills in Selenium and Rest Assured, along with basic Java knowledge.Cross-platform Testing: Validate quality on web applications, Android/iOS apps, responsive designs, and cross-browser compatibility.Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and drive resolution of defects using tools such as Jira, ClickUp, or similar.Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product owners, and designers to understand requirements and maintain product quality.Release Validation: Ensure Go-Live readiness — confirm all features meet quality standards before delivery to clients.Continuous Improvement: Define QA best practices, improve testing processes, and mentor junior QA members as needed.Client Accountability: Represent QA quality during client demos, sprint reviews, and delivery checkpoints.What you Bring3+ years of QA experience with strong exposure to both web and mobile testing.Proven experience working in Agile, Scrum, and Kanban environments.Strong understanding of QA methodologies: functional, regression, integration, UAT, smoke, and sanity testing.Experience with tools such as: Jira / QMetry / Zephyr / TestRail / ClickUp / Postman / Swagger (for API testing)Experience with Automation Frameworks (Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or Playwright) and CI/CD tools like Jenkins is a plus.Excellent documentation, communication, and accountability skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Why Join IdeaBits?Work on AI-powered products with real-world impactA culture that values speed, creativity, and ownershipBe part of a product-driven team that values deep thinking and fast executionClear growth path into architecture and leadershipCompetitive salary + growth opportunitiesExcited about building great software with us?
