We are committed to:ExcellenceResponsibilityEmpowermentConnectivityCourageResponsibilities:The Senior Quantity Surveyor will handle the post-contract commercial administration ensuring effective management of cost, change, and contractual matters throughout the construction lifecycle. The role involves close coordination and oversight of deliverables prepared by the external cost consultant, evaluation of variations and claims, preparation of commercial reports, and support to the project team in defending contractual entitlements and minimising financial risk. The Senior QS will assist the project management team and client, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and maintaining accurate, auditable commercial records.Manage post-contract commercial administration, including review of evaluation of variations, assessment of contractor claims, review of interim payments, and review of final accounts.Manage and coordinate with the external cost consultant, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of valuations and other commercial documentations.Review and verify cost consultant recommendations on variations, re measurements, estimates, and claims prior to submission to the Client.Prepare commercial reports and dashboards including variations tracking, claims registers, and financial performance updates for internal management and Client review.Administer contractual correspondence in accordance with the contract, ensuring entitlement, defensibility, and proper documentation.Review valuation of the commercial impact of design changes, site instructions, sequencing and delays, and advise the project team accordingly.Participate in commercial, technical, and progress meetings; provide professional advice to the project team regarding contract obligations and commercial exposure.Review and interpret contract documents, drawings, and specifications to support measurement, valuation, and commercial decision-making.Participate in negotiations with contractors regarding variations, claims, and settlement of accounts.Ensure proper maintenance of project records and auditable documentation supporting commercial positions.Perform additional duties related to commercial management as assigned by senior management.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. MRICS certification is a must.Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in major building or infrastructure projects, with solid experience in post-contract administration.Strong knowledge of FIDIC or equivalent standard forms of contract.Demonstrated experience in variation evaluation, claims assessment, change control, and final account settlement.Proven ability to coordinate and manage external cost consultants.Excellent analytical, negotiation, and report-writing skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage confidently with clients, consultants, and contractors.Proficient in MS Office applications.Ability to work independently and under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.* While we carefully review all applications, only candidates meeting the specified requirements will be contacted for further consideration.
