We aim to create a space for thought leaders, changemakers, and innovators to share their unique perspectives, inspire global action, and foster meaningful conversations.Position OverviewAs a Senior Video Editor at TEDxMaitama, you will play a key role in bringing our events, talks, and digital content to life through compelling video storytelling. You will work closely with the content team to edit and produce high-quality videos that align with TEDxMaitama’s mission of spreading impactful ideas. This position requires a creative, detail-oriented individual who has a strong passion for video production and storytelling.Key ResponsibilitiesVideo Editing: Edit, assemble, and produce high-quality video content from raw footage, including talks, event highlights, social media clips, promotional videos, and more.Collaborate with Content Creators: Work closely with event producers, scriptwriters, and other creative team members to ensure video content aligns with the TEDxMaitama brand, vision, and event themes.Post-production: Manage the post-production process, including color grading, sound editing, and creating motion graphics/elements to enhance storytelling.Content Optimization: Ensure video content is optimized for various platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TEDxMaitama’s website.Archiving & Asset Management: Organize and maintain video files and assets in a structured, easy-to-access format.Quality Control: Review and refine edits based on feedback from stakeholders, ensuring videos are polished, professional, and impactful.Ad-Hoc Video Production: Occasionally assist with live video production, including multi-camera setups, livestreaming, and on-the-spot editing for events.QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in video editing, post-production, and media content creation, preferably with experience working with a creative team on high-profile projects.Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve). Knowledge of motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects, Motion) is a plus.Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of video styles, including event highlights, interviews, promotional videos, and social media content.Storytelling: Strong storytelling abilities with a keen eye for pacing, rhythm, and emotional engagement in video content.Attention to Detail: Ability to spot small details that improve the overall quality of a video.Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple video projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.Creative Vision: Ability to take direction while also bringing creative ideas to the table.Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with video compression formats, media management, and file-sharing protocols.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with team members and stakeholders effectively.Preferred QualificationsExperience with TEDx or similar organizations: Familiarity with the TEDx format and guidelines is an advantage.Experience in live-streaming: Knowledge of live-event streaming and multi-camera production is a plus.Interest in Social Impact: A passion for creating content that drives change and aligns with TEDxMaitama’s mission to spread powerful ideas.Benefits:Flexible working hoursOpportunity to work on impactful and high-visibility projectsCollaborative and creative work environmentAccess to TEDxMaitama’s network of innovators and thought leaders
