Role Description The Vice Chancellor is a full-time on-site leadership role based in Iloro Ekiti. The Vice Chancellor will oversee the university's strategic vision, academic programs, and operational management. Responsibilities include fostering innovation, improving research and development, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring consistent academic excellence. The Vice Chancellor is also responsible for inspiring a diverse community, collaborating with faculty and staff, and engaging with external stakeholders to enhance the university's reputation and resources. Qualifications Proven leadership ability in higher education administration, strategic planning, and institutional developmentStrong skills in research enhancement, academic program development, and policy implementationExpertise in community building, fostering diversity, and managing multidisciplinary teamsExperience in financial oversight, resource allocation, and fundraisingExcellent communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skillsMinimum of 15 years of post-doctoral experience including 5 years as a Professor Doctoral degree in a relevant field, with evidence of research publications and academic distinctionPrevious experience as a Vice Chancellor, Provost, or similar leadership role is an advantageAbility to reside in Iloro Ekiti and immerse within the university’s ecosystemNot more than 65 years at the time of assumption of dutyExhibit the highest standards of integrity, discipline and accountability
