All qualified applicants will receive the same consideration for employment. Job Title: Social Content Strategist We’re building one of Western Canada’s fastest-rising education brands and we’re looking for a creative storyteller to help shape its online voice. Your role is to plan, produce, and publish short-form video content that captures the spirit of student life, builds community, and drives authentic engagement. You won’t just follow trends; you’ll create stories that resonate and make an impact. Your core mission is to drive Engagement Velocity (growth in engagement per post) and Collaboration Success (student- and partner-driven content that expands reach and credibility). Main Responsibilities Develop and manage a weekly content calendar and social storytelling flow. Produce video-first content, from concept to shooting to editing and posting. Create short-form ad versions to support marketing campaigns. Copywriting, CTAs, and interacting with the online community. Initiate and manage collaborations with students and partners to expand reach. Lead UGC campaigns, including testimonials, tag challenges, and reviews. Track performance analytics and provide monthly insight reports. Co-plan and host quarterly WCC Webinars to directly impact student recruitment Work closely with our producer and designer to bring campaigns to life. Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field (equivalent experience also accepted).2–4 years of hands-on experience managing or creating social media content for a brand, agency, or organization (not just personal accounts).Proven ability to conceptualize, script, and execute short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts).Experience using Meta Business Suite, Canva or other editing tools, and basic analytics dashboards.Strong storytelling, scripting, and on-camera direction skills.Understanding of data-driven social strategy, knowing what to test, when to iterate, and how to measure success.To Apply: In addition to your resume, please add the following to your cover letter.Two links to short-form videos you’ve created or directed (optional but a bonus). Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5:30 PM (8 hours per day/ 40hours per week) Travel: Up to 5 % to local campuses or events (occasional after-hours coverage) Compensation: $52,000 to $55,000 / year + quarterly performance bonus + benefits
