This Mid-Senior role is open to anyone with the right experience. You don’t have to be South Asian to apply.Must HavesProficiency in a chronically online tone of voice, with the ability to quickly adapt content to fit platform-specific nuances.You don't rely solely on ChatGPT and are naturally quick witted. Strong digital literacy across TikTok and Instagram.Strong understanding of past and present internet culture and current trends.A good eye for layout with experience to match in design programs like InDesign or Figma.Great time management skills.Knowledge of global South Asian culture & talent.Mobile video editing capabilities (CapCut)Strong proofreading and editing skills.Ability to distill press releases into engaging content without missing key details.Reporting and insights skills - taking from past learnings to inform new onesClear, collaborative and confident in your communication.Problem-solving through conversation, not confrontation.3-4+ years experience in a role at a similar publication/platform: Dazed, Highsnobiety, etc with examples of your work.Extra BitsThis is a freelance role ideally IRL, East London (In-house, 2 days a week with potential to extend remotely).You'll need your own Macbook & iPhone as we rely on Airdrop for efficiency.There will be a literacy test as part of the application process.Due to high application volumes, only successful candidates will be contacted.
