Software Engineer II

TransCore (TCI), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer II to join our TransSuite® development team in Peachtree Corners (Atlanta Metropolitan Area), GA.Summary: TransCore is a leading provider of intelligent transportation system (ITS) software in North America. TransCore’s TransSuite Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) software suite is deployed in over 50 cities. TransCore is looking for a Software Engineer II to be part of a team developing, enhancing and maintaining the TransSuite software product.Although this is a hybrid (onsite/remote) work arrangement, the selected candidate will be expected to align with the team’s in-office schedule, which is up to four days per week, with a strong preference for five days per week whenever possible.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.The Successful Candidate Must Have 6+ Years Of Commercial Software Development Experience With Java In a Windows Server Environment And Will Demonstrate The Following CapabilitiesTake requirements and deliver tested and documented software components that meet the requirements.Implementation of Java modules utilizing multi-threading with an understanding of thread safetyUse of collectionsUse of SQL in Java softwareImplementation of software with an understanding of performance requirementsRequirements And QualificationsBS Software Engineering / Computer Science / EngineeringExperience with source code management tools such as gitDesired SkillsApplication development experience with C# is a plusPhysical Demands/Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time.
