Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Store Development Team Lead to join our Store Development Team on a full-time basis at Barry Group.This role will be based in the Dublin/ Greater Dublin area.Role PurposeLead and manage the Store Development Team, advising Retail Partners on store layout and design.Oversee the execution of store conversions and upgrades, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to company standards.Responsible for the design and brand development of Costcutter, Quik Pick, and Carry Out stores.Ensure successful delivery of key events such as the Barry Group Tradeshow.To play an active role in new business recruitment for Costcutter, Carry Out and Quik Pick BrandsGeneral Duties ResponsibilitiesManage daily activities and resource allocation for the Store Development Department.Project manage new store conversions and existing store upgrades, from planning to handover.Liaise with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Buying, Logistics, HR, IT) and external customers.Maintain and negotiate with a nominated supplier list, ensuring best terms and standards.Ensure compliance with health safety and company policies.Participate in employee engagement and sustainability programs.RequirementsGood knowledge of category management and the Irish grocery retail sector.Understanding of legalities around store layouts and category restrictions.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Strong commercial acumen, systematic problem-solving, and team management experience.Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting skills.Ability to prioritise, work independently, and manage competing demands.Full clean driving license.Experience with store equipment, refrigeration, and supplier management.Knowledge of EPOS systems.Experience in retail management, financial analysis, and local marketing.Well-developed interpersonal skills and a growth mindset.Highly motivated, energetic, and positive approach.Desirable QualificationsLeaving CertificateProject Management Certificate/Degree.The Benefits Of Working With Barry GroupDiscounted Goods.In-house Mental Health First Aiders and additional Wellbeing Programs including Cycle to Work Scheme.CSR Activities.Future Planning with our Pension Plan.Competitive Salary.Professional Development Opportunities.Barry Group is an Equal Opportunities Employer
