Position Summary: The Storekeeper is crucial in overseeing the assets, ensuring they are well-maintained, readily available, and used efficiently across various divisions and departments. The Storekeeper is an expert in the inventory process and equipment management. This position understands, adheres to, and educates others on the inventory control procedures and processes as per the set policies and procedures. This includes tasks such as organizing storage, monitoring inventory levels, coordinating procurement, and conducting quality checks.

An essential component of the role is accurate paperwork and tracking equipment maintenance and repairs. The Storekeeper is organized, approachable, and a good communicator while focusing on optimizing efficiency and reducing costs. All duties and responsibilities are performed following Company’s Brand Standards, the Royal Way philosophy, policies, and SOPs, public health, safety, security, and environmental guidelines. The nature of this job requires daily interactions with internal and external stakeholders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversees the receiving and inspection of inventory deliveries. Verifies inventory meets quality standards, matches specifications, and is in proper working condition. Reports any defects through the proper process. Controls inventory by reviewing loading schedule, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine if items need to be moved, collected, or distributed. Compiles and reviews the requisition documents and coordinates the deliveries to various locations to meet customer needs. Tracks inventory and ensures proper documentation is maintained for each item.

Maintains records accurately and conducts trainings on IPM Logs, temperature logs including the reefers and chill container. Follows the inventory management processes, safety protocols, and Public Health. Serves as the primary contact for the inventory stores. Works alongside the Technical Storekeeper ensuring all procedures and instructions, provided by the Warehouse Manager and Inventory Control Specialist, are followed. Produces accurate and timely reports to assist the Inventory Control Specialist in planning daily tasks. Ensures the correct usage of equipment and that the equipment remains in optimal condition. Reports preventive maintenance to the Warehouse Manager, follows up on the work orders.

Instructs and participates in the unloading of containers and unpacking of pallets and preparing of customer orders. Designates storage areas for various items, ensures safe and secure storage to prevent theft or deterioration. Demonstrates proficient Crunch Time (CT) knowledge, ability to teach reconciling of customer orders in CT. Maintains administrative logs associated with cycle counts, key controls, and quality checks as assigned by the Manager. Serves as the primary contact for the inventory system operation, data entry, and report creation. Works closely with Leadership to determine supply requirements and track overdue items, products, and materials.

Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner and according to Public Health standards. Maintains a safe and sanitary environment for Guests and the Team. Participates in trainings and meetings. Adheres to the Company confidentiality agreement. Follows the destinations grooming standards and ensures that the Team follows the standards. Acknowledges and greets Guests, Visitors, and Team Members in public spaces with a warm, friendly greeting. Manages work schedules to meet the needs of the operation. Develops, implements, and monitors rotation sheets for the operation. Keeps record of hours worked and approves overtime.

Maintains the continuous updating of clear and concise handover notes to eliminate any possible miscommunication that compromises the efficiency of set processes. Financial Responsibilities: Budgeting by establishing inventory par level for OPP supplies for Operations and F&B Inventory. Inventory audits and compliance by assisting the Warehouse Operations with accurate physical counts. Cost control, by ensuring rotation of products using FIFO (first in – first out) procedures and monitors the shelf life of all products. Forecasting anticipated inventory and equipment needs to ensure timely procurement and avoid excessive stock levels.

Reporting accurate data tracking, to provide insights into usage, tracking, and areas for improvement. Qualifications: School Diploma or equivalent vocational training. Ability to perform math functions. Minimum two (2) years of work experience in an inventory operating division in the hotel or cruise ship industry. Knowledge of PPE, Manual Handling, Public Health, and Chemical Management. Driving license is a must. Ability to operate a forklift. Planning and reasoning skills. Experience in provisioning operations is required. Previous exposure to an international environment is strongly preferred. Effective verbal and written communications skills. Ability to work independently and well with others.

Ability to analyze and evaluate the need for technical support. Working knowledge of computers, inventory systems, internet access, and the ability to navigate within MS OfficeAbility to maintain focus, work with strict deadlines, multitask and be flexible and adaptable. Language Requirements: Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially with Guests, Team Members, Contractors, and Vendors. Ability to read and write English, to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from Guests. Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste and smell. The Team Member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. All Destination Team Members must be physically able to participate in emergency life-saving procedures and drills.

Full use/range of motion of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal, and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency. Work Environment: Destination outdoor environment where high temperature, precipitation, and humid temperatures are experienced. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is required to work outdoors in extremely humid and hot conditions for an extended period of time. This is a position where duties are exercised inside and outside the Warehouse, walking in sand, and uneven surfaces.
