Structural / Civil Drafter

Magryn & Associates is a structural, coastal and maritime engineering consultancy based in Somerton Park. We work on a wide range of projects across South Australia and beyond, with a strong focus on coastal and marine structures like jetties, boat ramps and seawalls, alongside general structural work for residential and small commercial projects.We are looking for a Structural / Civil Drafter to join our team. We are open to candidates from graduate through to senior level, with a preference for applicants who bring some relevant drafting experience.Employment typeWe are open to part-time or casual arrangements for the right candidate. The role is hybrid, with a mix of office and WFH by agreement.What you will be doingPrepare structural and civil drawings in AutoCAD.Draft plans for jetties, boat ramps, coastal structures and associated civil works.Prepare drawings for general structural projects, including residential and small commercial buildings.Update and refine drawings based on engineer markups and feedback.Help maintain drawing standards, templates and organised project files.About youExperience using AutoCAD is essential.Experience with civil design software such as Civil 3D, Civil Site Design or similar, and or Revit, is an advantage but not essential.Good attention to detail and ability to accurately follow markups and instructions.Able to work collaboratively with engineers in a small, friendly team environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Tertiary qualification in drafting, civil engineering, structural engineering or a related field is preferred, but not essential for candidates with strong practical experience.Full working rights in Australia.Why join MagrynInteresting coastal and maritime projects including jetties, boat ramps, seawalls and marine infrastructure, plus a variety of general structural work.Small, friendly team with close mentoring and direct access to senior engineers.Flexible hours and hybrid work arrangements by agreement.How to applyPlease email your CV to admin@magryn.com.au with the subject line “Application - Structural / Civil Drafter”.A short introduction in the email outlining your experience and software skills would be appreciated.
