An exciting opportunity has arisen within the North First Response Services for a passionate and dedicated support worker to join the expanding service.This role will involve you supporting service users who present in crisis to obtain support, reach positive outcomes and safety plan with the support of clinical staff. Your role will require providing information and signposting, as well as receiving and escalating referrals from other professionals, family and carers via the dedicated phone lines under the NHS 111 mental health service provision.You will also support nursing staff to complete urgent assessments, empowering service users to take a lead role in their own care and supporting self-determination.To carry out assigned duties, involving supporting and signposting service users, family, carers and other professionals under the guidance and indirect supervision of a qualified nurse.To report to the qualified nurse any concerns observations made whilst providing care to service-users.To take part in a 24 hour system of rostering including internal rotation.Mersey Care is one of the largest trusts providing physical health and mental health services in the North West, serving more than 1.4 million people across our region and are also commissioned for services that cover the North West, North Wales and the Midlands.We offer specialist inpatient and community services that support physical and mental health and specialist inpatient mental health, learning disability, addiction and brain injury services.
