We believe in unlocking the Global South's potential to serve as a vital solution provider in the global climate movement.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated Sustainability Intern to support our operations and communications functions. This is a full-time remote internship role (candidate must be based in Kuala Lumpur, as you may be required to attend in-person events as needed). The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to gain hands-on experience in climate and sustainability work within a fast-paced, mission-driven organisation. This role offers exposure to real projects, cross-functional collaboration, and meaningful contributions to Malaysia’s carbon removal ecosystem.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with ESG and sustainability research, including benchmarking, data analysis, and industry insights.Support the preparation of presentations, proposals, reports, and other materials for our partners and clients.Contribute to day-to-day project operations, including data collection, tracking, documentation, and project coordination.Assist in basic design and copywriting for content creation across LinkedIn, Instagram, and other communication channels (e.g., visuals, infographics).Participate in external meetings, events, and engagements as needed to support project delivery and stakeholder outreach.What You Will LearnPractical exposure to carbon removal projects, biochar applications, and environmental impact measurement.Insight into how a climate operations and strategy team functions in a growing startup environment.Skills in credible sustainability communication and stakeholder engagement.Experience in building systems, processes, and documentation from the ground up.RequirementsStrong interest and field of study in sustainability, climate action, environmental science, agriculture, or communications.Curious, resourceful, and able to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.Comfortable working independently and taking initiative to solve problems.Strong writing, research, and organisational skills.Ability to communicate professionally with diverse stakeholders (internal and external).Familiarity with basic design tools (e.g., Canva) is an advantage.How to ApplyPlease submit your resume, a short paragraph on why you are interested in this role, and any relevant work samples (optional).
