Systems Accountant

About The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Systems Accountant to join our corporate team in Cairns. In this critical role, you’ll be the go-to expert for financial systems support and optimisation across ADG.You’ll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing financial systems, leading process improvements, and supporting systems integration projects. Working closely with our Finance, IT, and external vendors, you’ll ensure our systems run smoothly, securely, and in compliance with relevant accounting standards.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and enhance financial systems, reports, ETLs, configurations, and securityProvide technical advice on accounting transactions and reconciliationsDrive continuous improvement and system enhancements across the groupLead implementation of new features and upgrades in collaboration with vendors and internal teamsDeliver training and support to finance and operational usersManage workflows, chart of accounts, and system accessEnsure compliance with accounting standards and support internal/external auditsApply cyber security policies to identify and respond to potential threatsContribute to business transformation and system integration projectsAbout YouYou bring a strong background in finance or accounting, paired with hands-on systems experience.
