Job Description

Prepare, file and pay accurate tax returns (AFS/ITR, VAT, GST, withholding tax Compensation, EWT, FWT, etc.) within statutory deadlines (monthly/quarterly/annually).Submit BIR reports (Alphalist Income, EWT, FWT, VAT Sales & Purchases Relief) quarterly/annually.Knowledge in billing checking & preparations for vendors & clients (tax computations).Familiar with all BIR Forms issuances.Knowledge of BIR offline/online EFPS (Electronic Filing & Payment Systems).Knowledge in submission of BIR reports eAFS & SEC.Review financial records and transactions to determine tax liabilities.Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.Maintain proper documentation and records to support tax filings.Conduct periodic internal reviews to identify areas of tax risk.Provide support in the development of tax-efficient strategies.Stay updated with changes in tax laws and assess their impact.Collaborate with Sr. Finance Supervisor, legal, and external consultants when needed.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the preparation of federal, state, local, and international tax returns.Develop tax strategies to optimize tax obligations and ensure compliance with tax laws.Analyze and review financial data to identify tax savings and minimization opportunities.Conduct research on tax laws and regulations, keeping abreast of changes and developments.Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and tax audits.Manage and coordinate tax provision and tax compliance processes.Advise management and related stakeholders on the impact of new laws on tax liabilities.Develop and implement best practices for tax processes and procedures.Prepare and present detailed reports on the companys tax situation for senior management.QualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.Minimum 35 years relevant experience in tax compliance or advisory.Strong understanding of tax laws and regulatory frameworks.3 years of auditor experience in top 30 firms is a plus.Proficiency in tax software and MS Excel.Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and organizational abilities.Proven work experience as a tax officer.Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems.Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.Strong leadership and personnel management skills.Analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
