Our students graduate ready for universities worldwide, while growing into curious, empathetic, and globally minded individuals.Role Description We are seeking a full-time Middle School Humanities Teacher for our Playa Venao campus in Pedasí, Los Santos. This is an on-site role in a unique, coastal community where learning extends beyond the classroom.The teacher will design and teach engaging Humanities units that integrate English Language Arts, Social Studies, and global perspectives. The role includes: • Creating inquiry-driven, concept-based lessons aligned with international and IB-inspired approaches. • Teaching reading, writing, speaking, listening, history, geography, and cultural studies through meaningful, real-world contexts. • Supporting students in developing strong literacy, research, and critical thinking skills. • Designing authentic assessments, giving timely feedback, and tracking student growth. • Collaborating with colleagues to create interdisciplinary learning experiences, especially with STEAM, Arts, and Spanish departments. • Participating actively in professional development and contributing to TCC’s IB candidacy and collaborative teaching culture.Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Humanities, English, History, or related field (Master’s preferred). • Valid teaching certification strongly preferred. • Experience teaching Middle School ELA and/or Social Studies. • Strong understanding of literacy development, writing instruction, and critical thinking frameworks. • Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills. • Commitment to inquiry-based learning, differentiation, and project-based methodologies. • Ability to work collaboratively within an international, diverse, and innovative team. • Passion for cultivating global citizenship, empathy, creativity, and a love of learning.Join us in shaping thoughtful, curious, globally aware learners in a beautiful and inspiring natural environment.
