Originating in Malaysia, the company started as a one-stop solar photovoltaic (PV) system solution provider for residential, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale solar farms, cementing its reputation as a top solar company in Malaysia trusted by businesses and government agencies alike.Position: Technical Business Development cum EngineerSeeking a dynamic and technically competent individual to lead and support rooftop solar initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for business development/operation, client engagement, technical assessments, and overseeing the implementation of rooftop solar systems. This role requires a blend of commercial acumen and engineering expertise to drive successful project execution and knowledge transfer.Experience: Minimum 5 years practical experience on rooftop solar projects, installation and operation.Qualifications: Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Power & Electronic, Renewable)Reporting to: Serikandi Technical Director & Solarvest Borneo Country ManagerKey Responsibilities: Business Development & Client Engagement• Independently manage tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervision.• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the rooftop solar sector.• Meet with clients to understand their needs and present tailored solar solutions.• Participate in roadshows and promotional events to represent the company and its offerings.Technical Assessment & Proposal Development• Conduct site visits and surveys to gather technical data for proposal preparation.• Analyse site conditions and energy requirements to design optimal rooftop solar configurations.• Prepare and submit proposals and technical reports in consultation with the commercial division, ensuring timely delivery.System Design & Analysis• Perform economic analysis of rooftop solar systems to assess feasibility and ROI.• Utilize relevant software tools to simulate and optimize system performance.• Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD for system layout and electrical design.• Interpret and work with electrical single-line diagrams.Project Execution & Supervision• Provide technical guidance and supervision during installation, testing, and commissioning of rooftop solar systems.• Conduct performance testing and prepare close-out reports upon project completion.• Ensure compliance with safety standards during installation and operation.Knowledge Transfer & Team Collaboration• Train and mentor local subordinates to build internal technical capacity• Collaborate with the procurement department to source components such as solar panels, inverters, AC/DC cables, and other system parts.• Maintain familiarity with vendors and suppliers to support procurement decisions.Skills & Competencies:• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Excellent written and verbal communication.• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Requirements:• Proven experience in rooftop solar system design, installation, and commissioning.• Strong understanding of solar technologies, configurations, and safety standards.• Proficient in AutoCAD and solar simulation software.• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.• Strong analytical and reporting skills.Recruitment email address: hr.solarvest@serikandi.com & Firdaus.arifpin@serikandi.com
