Technical Consultant (Mandarin-Speaking) Based in Selangor or Johor Global leader in industrial water treatment & sustainability solutionsMy client is a global organisation within the industrial water treatment, sustainability solutions, and process-improvement technology sector. They are looking for a Mandarin-speaking Technical Consultant who can support sales teams and customers through specialised technical expertise, particularly within data centre and microelectronics environments.This role plays a key part in strengthening customer relationships, driving account growth, and ensuring successful implementation of innovative programs related to cooling water systems, wastewater treatment, and overall water process optimisation.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical consulting and on-site expertise to sales teams and end-users across the data centre and microelectronics segments.Conduct site surveys, audits, and technical evaluations to identify performance gaps and recommend improvement strategies.Act as an industry subject-matter expert, representing the organisation at seminars, conferences, customer trainings, and industry events.Support innovation initiatives, including solution ideation, pilot trials, product testing, and deployment across targeted industries.Guide sales teams in identifying eROI (economic return on investment) opportunities, ensuring strong value documentation and customer impact.Mentor internal team members on applications, technologies, processes, and best practices.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, or other relevant disciplines.Minimum 7 years’ experience in water treatment, cooling water management, wastewater processes, or related industrial applications.Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with sales and customer stakeholders.Willing to travel 30% across Southeast Asia.Mandarin proficiency is mandatory due to extensive interactions with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.A PhD is an added advantage.
