What awaits you in this role?• We are looking for “Vehicle Test & Instrumentation Team Member” who will work for all Ford Trucks programs, within the scope of “Vehicle Test & Instrumentation CoE Team.”• Under FORD OTOSAN's "Being Turkey's most valuable and preferred industrial company" vision and in line with company's goals and policies, design verification and test responsibilities are belonged to this role. Role will especially have opportunity to participate to Electric Vehicle, Electrified Powertrain, Electric Motor and further Battery projects.Vehicle Test & Instrumentation Team Member responsibilities:• Responsible for the coordination and execution of Vehicle Durability, Mileage tests, Corrosion tests and RLD (Road Load Data) tests.• Responsible for 7/24 continuous testing on Test Trucks.• Responsible for instrumentation and data acquisition equipment to ensure accuracy of collected data, interpreting data to ensure proper operation of test vehicle and test equipment.• Responsible for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues with test vehicle and participate in the problem solving activities.• Understanding of durability test including testing practices, instrumentation, and calculations.• Responsible for the reporting of the problems on the vehicle during the durability tests.• Support to project teams working for the investigation of the root cause of problems identified during the durability tests.• Responsible for research and preparation of specifications for new testing device investment.• Responsible for the maintenance and writing procedures of test devices at the test facility.• Understanding of EV (Electric Vehicle) operation including testing practices.• Develop a test and validation plan that meets standards and functional safety requirements.• Responsible for the maintenance and surface quality of test tracks.• Responsible for the safety of others in the work area.• Responsible for ensuring that test trucks and test vehicles are safe for driving.• Support to project teams working on electrified powertrain development, validation, and certification to meet performance, emission and DV (Design Verification) compliance.• Continuously working with task force teams of powertrain systems engineering members for resolution of design concerns to define and implement permanent containment actions during incremental prototype phases of every new vehicle and unit program.• Defining the requirements to ensure highest technology and best practice applications in testing systems.• Studying generic vehicle test procedures, vehicle engineering testing requirements retrieved from Ford Standards Management System and identifies capabilities to make long term test plans regularly• Responsible for covering technical lead of the test operations, including relations with 3rd party service providers, planning and management of the resources, such as periodic maintenance, calibration, investment/launch works etc.• Works with the team of technicians (blue collar) and test operators and test drivers to carry out all aspects of prototype vehicle testing.• Gives technical direction and guidance to the staff in the operation, provide feedback, and develop technicians, helping them to improve operational efficiency & solving (test, instrumentation etc.) problems.• Ensures that whole workstream under his/her responsibility is done in accordance with ISO 9000, ISO 14001 and Safety rules. Understands how the quality and environmental policies affects the function, implement these policies and maintain records.• Coordinates budget preparation and sustainability of test equipment and sensors periodical maintenance, calibrations or repairs when needed. Ensures that all test equipment used adhere to the related calibration standard• Manages 3rd party service options (create technical specifications, market research, cost & timing analysis, site visits etc) in order to support testing requirements.Requirements• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in mechatronics, electrical, electronic or electrical & electronics engineer.• Basic knowledge about vehicle durability tests, corrosion tests and RLD (Road Load Data) tests.• Basic knowledge about HCV internal combustion vehicle and hybrid electric vehicle systems (i.e. powertrain, air induction, battery, thermal, electronics).• Basic knowledge of vehicle communication networks (CAN, LIN) is a plus.• Basic knowledge of diagnostics tools, vehicle network analysis tools (INCA, BusMaster, Vector)• Basic knowledge of measurement transducers/sensors (i.e. accelerometers, strain gauge, thermocouple, pressure sensors, displacement sensors)• Basic knowledge of data acquisition systems (Siemens LMS Test Lab., Ipetronik, eDAQ Mobile)• Basic knowledge of digital signal processing programs (Simcenter Test Lab., Ipemotion, Artemis, Ncode, Concerto, Etas, Vehicle Spy )• Basic knowledge of programming languages (i.e. Python, Matlab)• Basic knowledge about Electrified Powertrain & Battery testing field, automation systems, test measurement systems.• Basic experience with requirement, regulation documentation, compliance, generation• Experience with design, product, process validationBehavioral Skills and Competencies• Should act multitasking and think multidimensional.• Intellectually curious, love learning new skills and capabilities (Esp. research new technologies in electronics)• Demonstrated ability to operate in a diverse environment with teams across different nationalities, cultures and time zones; excellent networking skills.• Able to adapt to work with the teams that implement Agile methodology.• Highly analytical skill sets and mindset.• Effective at communication skills and contribution to teamwork.• Fluency in English to support international projects.• Good communication skills• Teamwork skills• Located in Eskişehir (Mandatory).• Proactive and takes initiative to solve issues when necessary• Willing to travel frequently.• Good analytical thinking and problem solving skills• Team player, can easily collaborate with other teams to achieve the best results for the organization• Be open minded and able to adapt• Be a good listener and able to ask the right questions to learn• Have an open communication style• Be able to demonstrate an innovative and flexible approach;• Be highly self-motivated, ready to work strict deadlines and have a flexible approach to working hours.Role Location:İnönü/Eskişehir
