We also embrace new tools and workflows, including AI-assisted editing and research technologies, to help our team focus on what matters most: crafting meaningful, human-centered stories.The RoleWe’re looking for a skilled and creative Video Editor based in Mexico to join our team full-time. You’ll take finished scripts and voiceovers and turn them into visually dynamic, short-form documentaries. You’ll research and source archival footage, craft narrative flow, design sound, and deliver high-quality edits on a fast-paced production schedule. If you’re passionate about storytelling -and have an eye for rhythm, pacing, and emotional impact- this is a great place to grow and experiment. We value editors who bring ideas to the table and enjoy shaping the visual direction.ResponsibilitiesEdit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, create graphics and visual elements in Photoshop, and handle sound editing to seamlessly blend narration, effects, and soundtrack.Research, identify, and source archival or stock video assets from public domain and licensed sources, applying strong editorial judgment in selecting visuals, audio, and sequences that best serve the story.Recut and adapt longer-form material into engaging, platform-optimized short-form content for YouTube and other social channels.Integrate AI-powered tools while maintaining editorial control and creativity.Add subtitle files as hard-coded motion graphics when required.Stay flexible and responsive as creative assignments evolve, maintaining a high standard of quality and consistency.Prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively within tight deadlines and a fast-paced production schedule.QualificationsAdvanced English proficiency, both spoken and written.Preferably, at least 1-2 years of professional experience editing video content for a high-volume production company or digital media outlet. However, candidates with strong technical skills, creative vision, and a distinctive eye for social video will be seriously considered.Proven experience in short-form video editing and creating content for the web, especially YouTube.Strong command of Adobe Creative Cloud, primarily Premiere Pro, with the ability to confidently navigate After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Audition.Familiarity with AI-driven creative tools (e.g., transcription, cut detection, motion graphics, or content organization software) and openness to integrating new technologies into your workflow.Solid understanding of video formats, codecs, raw footage handling, exporting, transcoding, and compression techniques.Organized, reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high production standards.Brings a positive, collaborative, and proactive attitude to every project.Comfortable working both independently and as part of a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment.Demonstrated research skills to locate and verify archival or stock footage relevant to each story.(A personal interest in history, aviation, or military themes is a plus, but not a requirement.)What We Offer$20,000 MXN/month (gross) + quarterly bonus opportunities.40 hours/week, flexible schedule (Monday-Friday).Generous paid leave policy and room for creative growth.Remote-friendly culture with occasional in-person activities in Guadalajara.We’re committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
