The OrganisationSankalpa CLG is a community based project for addiction recovery in the Finglas and Cabra areas of Dublin. Sankalpa is funded by the HSE and DEASP.The Sankalpa team works through advocacy and partnership to empower people to address their drug and alcohol challenges by providing low threshold access, day stabilisation programmes and targeted training and employment placements for those in recovery.We manage, deliver and review our individualised programmes to help and support service users on their rehabilitation path. We use evidence-based therapeutic, qualitative and creative programmes to achieve both personal and social recovery outcomes.Visit our website www.sankalpa.ie for more information about Sankalpa and our work.The RoleSankalpa are seeking a Company Secretary. The company secretary provides comprehensive compliance and administrative support and guidance to the board of trustees.Responsibilities Will Include The FollowingInputting to the strategic direction, contributing with insight, oversight and experience of strategy formulation in other sectors.Ensuring that the company complies with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirementsOverseeing administrative duties, such as taking agenda items and preparing and circulating the agenda and any other papersFollowing up on decisions taken at meetings in consultation with the chairpersonEnsuring the taking of Minutes at Board meetings and make sure these are kept in a Minutes Book and circulated to other members of the Board as soon as possible after the meeting,Ensuring membership records are up to date.Board MeetingsThere are board meetings every 6 weeks, with most online and some face to face and varying sub-committee meetings a year.
