With over 500 active programs, NYEG delivers enriching, accessible learning experiences that support academic growth, cultural enrichment, and community engagement.Learn more at www.nyenrichmentgroup.com.Position OverviewNY Enrichment Group is seeking a creative, tech-savvy, and engaging YouTube & Video Editing Instructor to lead hands-on digital media workshops for high school students. The instructor will teach the fundamentals of content creation, including filming, storyboarding, editing, and digital storytelling, while helping students produce their own short videos. The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, and passionate about empowering teens to express themselves through modern media.Key ResponsibilitiesLead video production workshops covering filming techniques, lighting, sound, and on-camera performance. Teach students how to use video editing tools such as iMovie, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut. Guide students through storyboarding, scripting, and planning for individual or group video projects. Introduce best practices for safe and responsible online content creation, including privacy and copyright awareness. Incorporate interactive activities such as group challenges, filming exercises, and peer review sessions. Support students in producing short videos such as vlogs, interviews, tutorials, or creative mini-films. Prepare materials and assist with device setup before each session; ensure cleanup and equipment organization afterward. Maintain an encouraging, collaborative environment that fosters creativity and confidence. Communicate with NYEG’s Director of Operations regarding scheduling, materials, and class progress. RequirementsStrong proficiency in video editing and content creation. Experience teaching or working with youth in educational or creative settings. Ability to break down technical concepts into engaging, age-appropriate lessons. Reliable, punctual, professional, and comfortable working independently. Strong communication and classroom-management skills.
