Mahhi Vij hospitalised, team shares health update: Jay Bhanushali skips visit, fuels divorce speculation

Popular TV couple Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali have been grabbing headlines over rumours of marital discord. Reports are rife that the two are living separately and have headed for divorce. Several media outlets have also claimed that their daughter Tara's custody has been finalised and that the couple are staying apart. However, Mahhi Vij has slammed these reports and threatened to take legal action against media outlets for spreading fake divorce rumours. Amid the ongoing drama, Mahhi has been admitted to a hospital in Mumbai after suffering from a high fever and severe weakness. On Thursday, Mahhi's team shared a health update on Instagram, revealing that doctors are currently conducting several tests. They also posted a picture of Mahhi resting on a hospital bed. Sharing the update, the caption of the Instagram post read, "@mahhivij has been admitted to the hospital right now owing to a high fever. We could not reach her for more updates, but her publicist Avantika Sinha confirms the news, saying, "Yes, she has a high fever and extreme weakness and has just been admitted to the hospital. The doctor will run tests now. Nothing beyond this can be confirmed just yet. She is stable." Earlier, Mahhi had shared Instagram Stories about battling a viral infection. In one of her posts, she was seen taking several medicines and also penned a note expressing gratitude towards her family for supporting her during this difficult time. However, Jay wasn't seen at the hospital where Mahhi is admitted, and fans were quick to point out how Mahhi did not mention talking about Jay at all. Apart from the divorce buzz, reports also claimed that Mahhi took Rs 5 crore from Jay as alimony. Recently, in her new vlog, Mahhi addressed the speculation and reacted to the claims about receiving crores in alimony after their alleged divorce. She said, "I read somewhere that I have signed the divorce papers, please show me the papers. Until we say something ourselves, you have no right to interfere in our personal lives and personal space. I know we are public figures, but we will tell you only what we want to. I have a sick mother at home and three kids, out of which two understand what's happening. I even got a message from Khushi saying, 'Mumma, what the hell is this? Why are they interfering in our personal life?' Even the kids are being questioned in school." "Until you hear it from me, please don't believe anything. Please respect our privacy, that of our kids and parents as well. It's a request, please leave us alone. If we think we need to tell you something, we will. Jay is my family and will always be my family. He is a wonderful father to my child and a wonderful human being," she added. About Mahi and Jay Mahhi and Jay first met at a common friend's party and instantly connected. After dating for a few years, the two tied the knot in 2010 in an intimate ceremony. The couple are parents to three children: their biological daughter Tara and two foster kids, Rajveer and Khushi.

Las Vegas Raiders HC Pete Carroll gives a crucial injury update that's vital to the team's plans for the rest of the season

Pete Carroll gives injury update on Geno Smith, Jackson Powers-Johnson, and Dylan Parham after loss to Broncos The first one that was asked was about the starting quarterback, and rightfully so. Before the injury, he played okay, but had a few moments where he held the ball too long. After the injury, he couldn't really even move."He wanted to go back in the worst way," Carroll told reporters. "He wanted to finish the game for his teammates. He got wacked in the quad, a quad bruise or contusion. Whatever it is, he got smacked. That's just him fighting. Yeah, go back out, because who knows? Just compete and battle. He tried… I don't know, it's a thigh bruise. This is not like other injuries where he can't get back from."Smith getting injured and not being able to go, potentially anyway, would be what some fans want because it would give everyone a full game to see Kenny Pickett. That's not anyone wishing an injury upon Smith, but this team is now 2-7, and they want to see something different. Of course, the one that everyone is really wanting to know about is star offensive lineman Jackson Powers-Johnson, who had to be helped and carried off the field by his teammates, including Maxx Crosby."He [Jackson Powers-Johnson] hurt his ankle, legit. And, I don't know all of the details, but he hurt his ankle. He will be out for a while. He [Dylan Parham] had a high ankle sprain that he tried to come back with, but he couldn't. He could move, but he couldn't push off. He tried to come back, too, but he couldn't. The right mentality," Carroll said. The offensive line started the game fine. They gave Smith plenty of time to throw, sometimes too much time. After these injuries, they really started to crumble. You hope a guy like JPJ, who is the future of the offensive line, is okay. Parham sounds like he could be good to go next week, and if not, certainly the week after. But we will see.Since beating the Tennessee Titans, the Raiders have lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in blowout - shutout fashion, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and now the Broncos. They will play the Dallas Cowboys next week. window.addEventListener('message', function (event) {if (event.data.totalpoll && event.data.totalpoll.action === 'resizeHeight') {document.querySelector('#totalpoll-iframe-365').height = event.data.totalpoll.value;}}, false);document.querySelector('#totalpoll-iframe-365').contentWindow.postMessage({totalpoll: {action: 'requestHeight'}}, '*')

How Virat Kohli’s Fitness Routine And Diet Keep Him In Excellent Shape At 37

Despite celebrating his 37th birthday on Wednesday, November 5, and nearing the end of his illustrious playing career, legendary Indian batter Virat Kohli maintains an excellent physique and fitness standards. Rigorously following a strict diet and a disciplined workout routine, Kohli seems to have cracked the code on how to defy ageing and retain the shape he had in the pink of his youth as a dominant international batter. In an old interview with Star Sports, Kohli revealed that his pursuit to be the fittest cricketer in the Indian team and one of the game’s finest athletes began even as he ended the 2011-12 season with consistent performances and his reputation was enhanced at the highest level. Never one to rest on his laurels, the determined cricketer looked at himself in the mirror one day during the IPL 2012 and decided to transform his lifestyle completely. Here is a brief insight into Kohli’s inspiring fitness routine and uncompromised dietary choices. Virat Kohli On His Fitness Routine “When you begin your fitness journey, you experiment with everything, vitamins, extra hydration, proteins, until you figure out what truly works for you. That’s when you find the right balance,” Kohli told Star Sports during an interaction. Kohli emphasised a strict and nutritional diet as key to his fitness transformation, even more than the number of hours he spends daily in the gym. “The biggest challenge I’ve faced with fitness is food. You can push yourself physically, but eating right is a mental game. Your taste buds and cravings can either help or hinder your progress,” he said. Once a proper Delhi boy, who relished his Chole Bhature and other street food delicacies, Kohli has stopped eating food for taste. “(Now) I can eat the same meals three times a day for six months without any issues. Around 90% of my food is steamed or boiled, with just salt, pepper, and lime. I’m not someone who chases taste, I focus on what’s right for my body,” the legend said. “I enjoy salads with a little dressing and pan-grilled dishes with some olive oil. I avoid curries, but I do eat dal, and as a Punjabi, I can’t skip rajma and lobhiya.” Switch To Vegeteranism Back in 2018, Kohli had to opt out of his County Championship stint for Surrey due to a neck injury. While he recovered and dominated the bowling on the Test tour of England, Kohli was keen to figure out what caused him discomfort around the neck region. After approaching the doctors and health experts, the former skipper discovered he had calcium depletion in his bones and experienced high acidity and elevated uric acid levels. It was then that he gave up meat completely and switched to a vegetarian diet. However, in an interview with Curly Tales on YouTube, Kohli clarified that he is not a strict vegan and does consume some dairy products.

Six Arrested As Aston Villa Beat Maccabi Tel Aviv 2-0 During 'High-Risk' Europa League Match

UK police arrested six individuals during a high-risk football match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Aston Villa in Birmingham on Thursday. Despite heavy security measures, the event proceeded largely peacefully. Over 700 police officers were deployed across the city in central England as pro-Palestinian and pro-Israel demonstrators held separate protests outside Villa Park stadium before the match began. Last month, Villa announced that Maccabi fans would not be permitted at the UEFA Europa League game following a police risk assessment. This decision drew criticism, including from Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who attempted to reverse the move. However, the Israeli club later stated it would decline tickets for its fans due to safety concerns. Around 200 pro-Palestinian protesters gathered near the stadium’s Trinity Road stand, chanting “Free Palestine” and displaying banners advocating for a boycott of Israel and its exclusion from international football. Meanwhile, a smaller group of pro-Israel protesters stood on the opposite side of the stadium, waving Israeli flags and holding posters with messages such as “Keep anti-Semitism out of football” before being escorted away by police. Maccabi fan Itai Gal expressed disappointment to AFP, stating that their only intention was to celebrate their team’s presence in English football, and lamented the lost opportunity. Birmingham, a city with a significant Muslim population, has witnessed regular pro-Palestinian rallies over the past two years. Police classified Thursday’s fixture as “high risk,” referencing violent clashes and hate crime offences during a Europa League match between Maccabi and Ajax in Amsterdam last November. That incident led to two days of confrontations between locals and Israeli fans in the Dutch city. AFP observed a significant police presence outside Villa Park, with officers wearing protective gear and riot helmets, and police horses deployed. West Midlands Police stated they have experience managing high-profile football matches and demonstrations and had been working closely with various faith and community groups to address their concerns. Signs near the stadium read “No War Games Allowed” and “Give Zionism the Red Card,” while far-right activist Tommy Robinson’s channels made Islamophobic statements about the match and planned protests. One school near the stadium closed early to avoid disruption, with others reportedly considering similar actions. Robert Hussain, a local mosque volunteer, expressed anxiety before the game. West Midlands Police, supported by 25 other forces, reported that those arrested faced charges ranging from racial aggravation to failing to comply with a dispersal order. Villa did not sell tickets for their own fans in the away end of their stadium, leaving that section vacant throughout the match, which the home side won 2-0. Elizabeth, a Villa season ticket holder, expressed understanding of the decision to bar Maccabi fans but felt it was unfortunate, emphasizing that football should be inclusive regardless of faith or race. Maccabi Tel Aviv’s decision to decline tickets followed police cancellation of an Israeli Premier League match against city rivals Hapoel due to “riots” between rival fans. The team asserted that its supporters were not involved in the unrest and condemned the “hate-filled falsehoods” creating a “toxic atmosphere.” Ayoub Khan, the independent MP for the Birmingham area covering Villa Park, noted the local concentration of Muslims and their concerns about racism. Aston Villa requested that supporters refrain from displaying political symbols during the match, adhering to UEFA’s protocols. With AFP Inputs

Can Smog Damage Your Gut? Experts Explain How Pollution Impacts Digestion And Immunity

When we think of air pollution, the first organs that come to mind are our lungs and heart. But experts are now uncovering a surprising truth. The air we breathe may be silently harming our gut, too. As pollution levels continue to rise across major Indian cities, especially in regions like Delhi NCR, their effects are no longer confined to respiratory distress or fatigue. Airborne toxins are entering the bloodstream and interfering with gut bacteria, inflammation, and immunity by turning gut health into the newest casualty of poor air quality. Pollution Doesn’t Stop At The Lungs Dr. Swetabh Purohit, Senior Consultant – Pulmonology at Paras Health, Udaipur, explains that the impact of air pollution extends far beyond what most people imagine. “The fine particulate matter and toxic gases we inhale do not just stay in the lungs; they can enter the bloodstream, triggering systemic inflammation that extends to the gut,” he says. This inflammation disrupts the gut microbiome, reduces beneficial bacteria, and weakens the intestinal barrier – a cascade that can cause acidity, bloating, irritable bowel symptoms, and even poor immunity. Similarly, Dr. Neerja Hajela, Head of Science and Regulatory Affairs at Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd., adds that air pollution is “a hidden yet strong risk, impacting not only the lungs but also gut health.” According to her, chronic exposure to environmental toxins can disrupt the delicate balance of gut microbiota, increasing inflammation and decreasing immune function. She emphasises that supporting the gut through diet and probiotics can help counter these effects. Nutritionist Sonia Mehta, Founder of EverBloom, agrees. “Airborne pollutants also enter our bodies and affect the digestive tract due to inhalation and swallowing. They disturb the intestinal microbiota, triggering low-grade inflammation, sluggish motility, fatigue, and even mood swings,” she says. Building A Pollution-Resilient Gut So how can you protect your gut when the air outside isn’t on your side? Experts unanimously stress the importance of diet, hydration, and mindful lifestyle habits. Dr. Hajela suggests incorporating probiotics into your daily routine: “science-backed probiotic drinks like Yakult can help maintain a healthier gut by replenishing beneficial bacteria and supporting gut barrier function.” Sonia recommends creating a microbiome-friendly plate filled with fibre-rich vegetables such as spinach, carrot, and bottle gourd, alongside whole grains like jowar, oats, and brown rice. “Include fermented foods like curd, buttermilk, idli, dosa, kimchi, or traditional pickles for live cultures,” she adds. Her tip: balance these with prebiotic sources like bananas, garlic, onion, and flaxseed, while staying well-hydrated with plain water and herbal teas. Meanwhile, Dr. Purohit advises regular exercise, adequate hydration, and avoiding heavily processed or high-fat foods, which can worsen inflammation. “Maintaining gut resilience is vital, especially in areas where air quality dips to hazardous levels,” he says. The connection between air pollution and gut health is real and increasingly relevant. While you can’t always control the air you breathe, you can strengthen your gut’s defences from within. Eating smart, staying hydrated, moving regularly, and including probiotics and prebiotics in your diet can go a long way. Protecting your gut, after all, is not just about better digestion; it’s a crucial step in safeguarding your overall health in a polluted world.

'Vande Mataram' remains proclamation of nation's unity, says President Murmu

New Delhi, Nov 7 (PTI) ‘Vande Mataram’, the national song of India, continues to symbolise the emotional consciousness and unity of the country’s people, President Droupadi Murmu said on Friday. On the occasion of the song’s 150th anniversary, “let all of us countrymen take this firm resolve that we will keep Mother India endowed with ‘Sujala’ (good water), ‘sufala’ (good or fine fruit) and ‘sukhda’ (bestowed with happiness), in accordance with the spirit of this song. Vande Mataram,” Murmu said in a post on X in Hindi. The president also recounted how, in the nineteenth century, Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay composed Vande Mataram against the backdrop of the Sannyasi rebellion against British rule, which, since the 1905 Swadeshi movement, has become a source of inspiration. “Since then, this song of reverence to Mother India has remained a proclamation of the emotional consciousness and unity of our countrymen, and it will continue to be so,” the president said, adding that after independence, the country reverently adopted it as the national song. November 7, this year, marks the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram, which translates to “Mother, I bow to thee.” This composition, an enduring anthem, has inspired countless generations of freedom fighters and nation builders, standing as a lasting emblem of India’s national identity and collective spirit, according to an official statement. Vande Mataram was first published in the literary journal Bangadarshan on November 7, 1875, and was set to music by Rabindranath Tagore. PTI AKV MPL MPL

US Comm Secy cites India while defending Trump's tariff powers amid SC case

Washington, Nov 7 (PTI) US President Donald Trump used tariffs as a diplomatic tool to “buy justice” and had urged India to “stop buying oil” from Russia to help end the Ukraine war, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick has claimed. Lutnick made the remarks in an interview with Fox News on Thursday, defending Trump’s use of tariff powers as the Supreme Court heard arguments on its legality. The court is examining whether it was lawful for Trump to use emergency powers under the 1977 International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to impose sweeping reciprocal tariffs on several countries, including India. “The president is using these taxes to buy justice; he is using the tariffs to end the war in Russia and Ukraine, where he has told India ‘stop buying oil,'” Lutnick said, adding that restricting these powers (IEEPA) would weaken Trump’s ability to make “the world and the US a safer place.” Expressing confidence, he said that the US President will win the case because “these powers protect America”. Trump imposed 25 per cent reciprocal tariffs on India and an additional 25 per cent levies for Delhi’s purchases of Russian oil, bringing the total duties imposed on India to 50 per cent. India had described the US action as “unfair, unjustified and unreasonable”. In September, the Trump administration told the US Supreme Court that it imposed tariffs against India for purchasing Russian energy products “to deal with a preexisting national emergency regarding Russia’s war in Ukraine” and as a “crucial aspect” of the President’s push for peace in the country. Trump has also been claiming for the past few days that Delhi has assured him that it will significantly reduce its oil imports from Russia. However, India has been maintaining that its energy policy is guided by its own national interest, especially ensuring affordable and secure supplies for its consumers. PTI GRS GRS GRS

Sam Smith Reveals Getting Liposuction At 13 After Being Bullied: ‘My Weight As Kid Was The Hardest Thing’

Sam Smith, the English singer popular for their songs like Unholy, Fire on Fire, and I’m Not the Only One, got real about their early struggles with body image. On the latest episode of actor Penn Badgley’s podcast, Podcrushed, the 33-year-old artist, who uses they/them pronouns, opened up about the challenges they faced with weight while growing up and revealed that they underwent liposuction, a fat removal surgery, when they were just 13 years old. “My weight as a kid was the hardest thing for me in school, and weirdly, the thing I probably got teased the most about,” Sam told Penn and his co-hosts, Sophie Ansari and Nava Kavelin, in the episode that was released on November 5. They explained that as a teenager, they had a growing chest, which made them extremely self-conscious and a target of bullies. Sam Smith Was Bullied For Their Weight “I had surgery on my chest when I was 13 years old because I had a growing chest,” Sam revealed, adding, “There was all sorts of reasons why, but mainly that I was just getting so teased.” He said, “I couldn’t go swimming in school, and getting changed in the locker room was hell. So I got liposuction when I was 13 years old.” Sam Smith Shared Why The Liposuction Failed When the host asked how their parents felt about liposuction at such a young age, Sam revealed that they were “hugely supportive” of the decision. “They were hugely supportive of the whole thing because they saw how much it was crippling everything about me,” they said. However, the singer admitted that the procedure turned out to be a “nightmare” and did not solve their struggles, as they were back to their poor eating habits. Sam recalled, “Because they gave me a bandage which is like a bra … I was only meant to wear it for a month, but if I wore the bandage, it meant that I would get to the front of the lunch queue because everyone had to be sensitive about my chest. So I just kept this bandage on for nearly a year.” They added that the “surgery really never worked” because he loved to have food. What’s Sam Smith Up To These Days? Sam Smith, who released the single To Be Free earlier this year, is currently on their To Be Free residency in New York City. They kicked off the residency in October and are scheduled to perform till December 13. Then they will take the residency to San Fransico, where they will perform till March next year.

Why Is Stock Market Falling Today? Key Factors Behind Sensex, Nifty Decline On November 7

Why Is Stock Market Falling Today? Indian equities opened lower on Friday, with the Sensex and Nifty extending their losing streak for a third consecutive session as investors booked profits amid continued foreign fund outflows. The caution in the market overshadowed optimism around strong corporate earnings and expectations of progress in India–U.S. trade discussions. The S&P BSE Sensex slumped over 600 points to slip below the 82,700 mark, while the NSE Nifty 50 declined more than 150 points to trade under 25,350. Both benchmark indices remain on course to end the week with modest losses after a volatile, profit-taking-driven week. On the 30-stock Sensex, Bharti Airtel, HCL Technologies, NTPC, TCS, and Tech Mahindra led the laggards, falling between 1% and 4%. Bharti Airtel dropped nearly 4% after about 5.1 crore shares changed hands in a block deal, with Singapore Telecommunications (Singtel) likely the seller. The weakness spilled over to the broader markets, with the Nifty MidCap index down 0.9% and the SmallCap index falling 1.4%. Defying the broader downtrend, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) gained 2%, supported by robust quarterly earnings and improved margins. Both the Sensex and Nifty are on track to post weekly losses, cooling off after a 4.5% rally in October. FII Shorts Pressure Domestic Buyers Despite Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) buying more than Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) sold (Rs 5,283 crore DII buying vs Rs 3,263 crore FII selling on Thursday), markets continue to drift lower, said Dr. V.K. Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Financial Services. “Huge FII shorting is overpowering DII and retail buying. Sustained selling by FIIs, as they rotate funds to cheaper markets, has emboldened them. Short covering could trigger a reversal, but immediate catalysts are missing,” he noted. Vijayakumar suggested that this phase is ideal for investors to rebalance portfolios toward fairly valued large-cap stocks, especially in banking and pharmaceuticals, where growth prospects remain strong. Technical Outlook The Nifty’s failure to sustain above the 25,630–25,650 zone has exposed key support levels, said Anand James, Chief Market Strategist at Geojit Financial Services. “The index now faces downside risk near the 50-day SMA at 25,200 and the Bollinger Band lower bound at 25,088. However, the 25,400 region could offer a regrouping opportunity for bulls,” James said. Global Markets: Tech Rout Deepens Global equities remained under pressure as investors questioned whether the AI-driven rally had run too far. Tech-heavy indices were on track for their steepest weekly losses in seven months. The Nasdaq fell 1.9% overnight, bringing its weekly loss to 2.8%, while Japan’s Nikkei slid 1.8%, heading for a 4.7% weekly drop, its worst since March. South Korea’s Kospi declined 3.3% for the week. SoftBank Group plunged over 20% this week, while Bitcoin, a proxy for tech sentiment, dropped 8% to $101,092. Gold held firm just below $4,000 an ounce, reflecting safe-haven demand. Oil and Currency Watch Oil prices edged higher after three straight sessions of declines, though both benchmarks remain on course for a second weekly loss. Brent crude: up 0.33% at $63.59 per barrel WTI crude: up 0.37% at $59.65 per barrel Meanwhile, the Indian rupee weakened 3 paise to 88.66 against the U.S. dollar in early trade, tracking losses in regional peers and risk-off sentiment. The dollar index hovered near 99.74, slightly below the 100 mark hit earlier this week.

‘Unnecessary Public Debate’: BJP MP Walks Back Controversial Remark On National Anthem

A day after sparking a major political row over his remark that Jana Gana Mana was composed to welcome the British, BJP MP and former Karnataka Assembly Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri issued a full retraction, saying he does not stand by his earlier remarks and does not wish to prolong the controversy. Speaking to News18 following widespread criticism, the MP said both Jana Gana Mana and Vande Mataram are “nationally respected songs” and insisted that India’s national anthem must always be honoured. ‘Never Will I Stand By That Statement’ Pressed on whether he still stood by his earlier comments, he responded firmly, “No, no. Never I will stand by this statement. Unnecessarily it has become a public debate. I don’t want to continue this. Our national anthem is always our national anthem. We have to give respect and honour to it.” He added that his intention was not to ignite any controversy and that he was withdrawing from the debate entirely. When asked again if he was formally retracting his statement, he said, “No, no. Thing is, unnecessarily it has been made a controversy. I don’t want to continue this. I don’t want to debate on this more than this. Vande Mataram and Jana Gana Mana both are our nationally respected songs.” Reiterating his position, the BJP MP said, “Jana Gana Mana is our national anthem, we must accept the truth and follow that. This is my stand. I don’t want to continue this debate.” The controversy erupted after Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri claimed at a Rashtriya Ekta Nadige event in Honnavar that Jana Gana Mana was composed to welcome the British and that there had once been a strong chorus to make Vande Mataram the national anthem. He said, “Our ancestors decided that along with Vande Mataram, Jana Gana Mana, which was composed to welcome the British, should also be included. Today, we have accepted it and continue to follow it.” The remarks drew sharp criticism from the Congress, with Karnataka minister Priyank Kharge calling it a “WhatsApp history lesson” and “utter nonsense.” Priyank Kharge cited Rabindranath Tagore’s writings to assert that Jana Gana Mana hailed the “Dispenser of India’s destiny,” not British royalty. “Sri Tagore wrote the hymn Bharoto Bhagyo Bidhata in 1911; its first stanza became Jana Gana Mana. It was first sung at the Congress session in Calcutta — not as a royal tribute,” he posted on X (formerly Twitter).

UN Security Council Lifts Sanctions On Syrian President And Interior Minister

The UN Security Council has voted to lift sanctions against Syrian President Ahmed al‑Sharaa and Interior Minister Anas Khattab under a US-drafted resolution approved on Thursday by 14 members, with China abstaining. According to the resolution, the asset freezes and travel bans imposed on the two officials were removed as part of a broader recalibration of Syria’s international standing following the collapse of the previous regime. The move is seen as symbolic of a shift in diplomatic strategy after more than a decade of civil war. The sanctions had been in place since the earlier regime’s links to terrorism and conflict. A UN monitoring report noted this year that there were no “active ties” between the militant group Hayat Tahrir al‑Sham (HTS) and al‑Qaeda, a key benchmark cited by member states. The US ambassador to the UN described the vote as “sending a strong political signal” recognising that Syria has entered a “new era”. Russia supported the resolution, saying it best reflected the “interests and aspirations of the Syrian people themselves”. China, meanwhile, abstained, citing concerns that the resolution did not sufficiently address counter-terrorism threats, including the presence of Uyghur fighters linked to the Eastern Turkistan Islamic Movement. Syrian UN Ambassador Ibrahim Olabi welcomed the decision, calling it a sign of support for Syria’s rebuilding efforts and, in his words, a message of hope for the “women and men” striving to restore their homeland. While the lifting of these sanctions does not immediately remove other sectoral or arms-related restrictions, the decision marks a significant step in Syria’s re-engagement with the world and signals increased diplomatic normalisation ahead of scheduled high-level talks. -Inputs from Reuters

Mumbai Metro Passengers Shocked To Hear ‘Aapka Agla Stop Bangkok Hai’, Internet Says ‘Ladke Khush Ho Gye Honge’

It was an ordinary evening for Mumbai Metro passengers, until an unexpected announcement turned a routine ride into a moment of laughter and confusion. As the train sped along its route, the usual calm voice that updates commuters about upcoming stations suddenly declared, “Aapka agla stop Bangkok hai!” For a few seconds, the entire coach froze. Some passengers looked around, wondering if they heard it right, while others couldn’t help but laugh. A few even pulled out their phones to record the hilarious moment. Passengers React to the Unexpected ‘Bangkok’ Stop The video opens with passengers inside the Mumbai Metro, some seated, others standing near the doors. Suddenly, the calm routine is broken by an unexpected announcement: “Aapka agla stop Bangkok hai! Shock mat ho, book karo, kyunki MakeMyTrip mein chal rahi hai Travel Ka Muhurat Sale.” The short clip, filmed by one of the passengers, captures the light-hearted chaos that followed the announcement. People sitting quietly moments earlier exchanged puzzled glances, some smiling and shaking their heads in disbelief. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Comedyculture.in ™ (@comedyculture.in) As the video grabbed attention online, a few joked that they wouldn’t mind if the metro really took them to Bangkok or at least to Goa. A user wrote, “I’m amazed no one laughed at this.” Another joked, “Ladke khush ho gye honge… station pr hi massage mil jayegi.” Someone else commented, “Good boys go to heaven, bad boys go to Bangkok,” while another added, “Advertisements peak here.” An individual said, “I am also listening to the same thing from the last 3 days in the Mumbai metro.” And another confirmed it saying, “It’s marketing.” A few even suggested that the suspense should have lasted longer before revealing it was an ad. The Clever Marketing Move Behind the Prank The surprise message turned out to be a creative marketing campaign by MakeMyTrip. Reportedly, the company confirmed that it was part of their ongoing “Agla Stop: Holiday!” initiative, promoting the “Travel Ka Muhurat Sale,” which runs from October 29 to November 30 this year. The campaign encourages people to take a break from their busy routines and plan year-end holidays with special discounts on flights, hotels and vacation packages.

Aryan Khan to work on his first theatrical release before directing Shah Rukh Khan in planned 2027 film: Report

Aryan Khan, who recently earned appreciation for his debut Netflix directorial The Ba***ds of Bollywood, is already moving ahead with his next set of projects. The series, which featured Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Bobby Deol and an ensemble cast, marked Aryan’s official entry as a director and showcased his inclination towards bold storytelling. With the streaming debut now behind him, the filmmaker is preparing for a larger leap — a theatrical feature. Aryan Khan to work on his first theatrical release before directing Shah Rukh Khan in planned 2027 film: Report According to industry sources, Aryan's next directorial will be a full-fledged film intended for a big-screen release. The young filmmaker is reportedly determined to establish himself in the theatrical space before stepping into what will arguably be the most anticipated collaboration of his career — directing his father, superstar Shah Rukh Khan. A source quoted by Pinkvilla revealed that Aryan is taking a measured, merit-driven approach to his career choices. “Aryan wants to deliver a theatrical success and prove himself as a filmmaker before taking on the challenge of directing his superstar father, Shah Rukh Khan,” the insider shared. The intention, the source added, is to build credibility in the industry by letting the work speak for itself rather than relying on legacy or expectations. Plans for the father-son collaboration are very much in motion, though the film is not expected to take off immediately. “If all goes as planned, Aryan’s third directorial will feature SRK in the lead. The father-son duo has already locked the core idea, but the collaboration is expected to take shape only in 2027,” the source added. For now, Aryan is dedicating his attention to completing the script for his second feature film. The project is likely to enter the casting stage soon, with more details about the genre, ensemble, and production timeline expected to emerge in the coming months. With his debut project sparking conversations and his next two films already generating industry buzz, Aryan Khan appears to be pacing his journey with focus and strategic clarity. As anticipation builds for his theatrical debut — and eventually, his directorial collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan — all eyes are on the young filmmaker’s next move. Man Shares Mid-Air Scare On IndiGo Flight As Burning Smell Fills Cabin: ‘It Was A Panic-Like Situation’ | Video

A passenger recently shared a terrifying mid-air experience on an IndiGo flight, claiming that a strong burning smell suddenly filled the cabin and triggered panic among travellers. Describing the tense atmosphere on board, he added that even the flight attendants appeared confused and were unable to provide any clear technical explanation for the pungent odour. In the clip, the overlay text reads, “Midair, it started to smell like something was on fire inside the plane. People started checking, and air hostesses were running. One guy was saying to make the plane land.” When passengers inquired about the smell, the crew reportedly explained that the aircraft was new and had completed only two flights so far. “The air hostesses were also confused, and on top of that, they said that the plane is new and had done only two journeys till now. They did a great job at calming people,” the passenger said in the video. ‘The Smell Was Quite Strong And Increasing’ In the caption, the man described the tense atmosphere inside the plane, writing, “Why the crew got so scared in the end? They managed eventually, but at first, we were all frightened because of the strong smell and the way the situation was handled.” He added, “No proper technical information was given — people just said it might have come from here or somewhere else. The smell was quite strong, not just a faint one, and it stayed and was increasing also.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ar. Krishna Gaur (@_maikrishnahoon_) At the end of the video, the passenger confirmed that the flight landed safely, though he said no clear explanation was given to passengers. “We landed safely but no one told what actually happened and the staff was also confused. People literally started crying for a few minutes,” he recounted. ‘It Was A Panic-Like Situation,’ Recalls A Passenger The incident, captured and shared on Instagram, triggered a flood of reactions from users. Many shared their views and own experiences. A few also slammed IndiGo airlines for their poor services. A user commented, “Bhai vo kabhi kabhi engine se smoke ki smell aati h (Brother, sometimes it is the smell of smoke from the engine.) “Maybe because it’s new, some protective coatings and elements were being ‘burnt’ off due to heating of components! But, on a serious note, this can be a terrifying and extremely dangerous situation. Glad all were safe,” said a user. Another Instagram user claimed to have been on the same flight, saying, “I was on that flight along with my family. The smoke smell was very strong and stayed for around 15 mins, and the onboard air hostesses were not aware of why it was happening!! It was a panic-like situation! @indigo.6e no clarification was given to passengers about why it happened and whether it was being rectified or not. It was really a bad experience.” “The water kettle that they use for heating water also smells at times,” shared a user. An individual stated, “Outside air. Maybe high level of smoke. The thick smoke can seep into the plane.” “Indigo has been going down in terms for service. They sometimes have no answers,” a user criticised. Many users tagged the airlines seeking their response on the situation. But IndiGo has not issued an official statement regarding the incident as of now.
