Lane Kiffin mocks Kirby Smart with ‘clapping’ gesture to ref

Ole Miss football versus Georgia took a rather humorous, mocking turn Saturday. All involving Lane Kiffin taking a dig at opposing coach Kirby Smart. The Bulldogs head coach went viral for a clapping incident against Auburn last Saturday. Well, Kiffin pulled off his version of it: “I was just clapping” pic.twitter.com/NgRt5KazPA — Bunkie Perkins (@BunkiePerkins) October 18, 2025 Smart got accused of calling a timeout instead of clapping during the Auburn contest. Kiffin made sure he wasn’t doing anything similar with his hands. But clearly was being playful with the official. Yet that Kiffin gesture sparked multiple reactions online. Chris Hummer of 247Sports caught the moment and laugh Kiffin shared with the ref. The fan site Everything Ole Miss referred to their head coach as a national treasure following that viral clip. Kiffin even texted Smart multiple times before the game, fueling the intrigue of this matchup. Lane Kiffin also joked about another moment before Ole Miss-Georgia Petre Thomas-Imagn Images Kiffin seemed to be in a humorous mood before the top 10 heavyweight showdown between the Southeastern Conference powers. But this particular moment involved his old boss at Alabama Nick Saban. The head coach’s wife Terry spoke about the possibility of Saban taking over the now open Penn State job. “I have no doubt if Nick wanted to go back to coaching, he could win his eighth national championship. But we’re having too much fun, and we wouldn’t want to take that opportunity away from all of our baby coaches. Like Kirby (Smart) and Lane,” Terry Saban shared on College GameDay regarding if Saban would consider the Nittany Lions. Kiffin dropped this succinct response with a laughing emoji. Thanks Mrs. Terry 😂 https://t.co/SAlR4cf5Y5 — Lane Kiffin (@Lane_Kiffin) October 18, 2025 Penn State fans hoping for Kiffin will likely have their bubbles burst. Kiffin is reportedly working on a new extension as of Friday. Meanwhile, Kiffin and Smart engaged in a shootout at Athens. Georgia took a late 40-35 lead with under 7:30 left in the fourth quarter.

Has Philadelphia Police Found Kada Scott? Cops Recover Body Amid Murder Investigation

Philadelphia police say they have discovered what they believe may be the body of 23-year-old Kada Scott, two weeks after the Miss USA hopeful went missing. The discovery was reported by The Philadelphia Inquirer. Scott, who worked night shifts at a local nursing home, was last seen by her mother on October 4 before leaving for work. She did not complete her shift, and her disappearance was reported the following day. Authorities said she had been receiving harassment from an unknown person over the phone prior to her disappearance. Police took one man, Keon King, into custody on October 15. King had reportedly been the last person in contact with Scott before her phone and social media accounts went silent. He previously faced charges related to the alleged kidnapping and strangulation of another woman, but those charges were dropped. Prosecutors reportedly intend to charge King with murder in relation to Scott's case. The body was reportedly found on the grounds of the closed Ada H. H. Lewis Middle School in East Germantown. Jennifer Lee, of Fox29 Philly, cited police sources on X, writing: "Human remains of a female discovered behind abandoned middle school near Awbury Arboretum. Lt on scene says remains have been here no longer than a week." She added that "many who were part of Kada Scott search efforts have shown up" at the scene. At this time, authorities have not officially confirmed that the remains are those of Scott. Following her disappearance, Scott's family had set up a GoFundMe page, writing: "We just want her home safe." Her father, Kevin Scott, told CBS News: "Each day gets harder and harder, more and more difficult emotionally. I want Kada home as soon as possible. Things are not good, but we still are positive Kada is alive and well somewhere, and we're going to get her home as soon as possible." King faces multiple charges, including kidnapping and recklessly endangering another person. He is next scheduled to appear in court on 3 November. Ohio State fans will love Robert Griffin III’s Heisman claim

The Ohio State Buckeyes are the defending national champions and the No. 1 team in the nation again this season. It’s clear that the Buckeyes will have major tests as they pursue an undefeated record and another title, but they have a remarkable talent level and they are playing up to it so far this season. Many national observers look at wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and consider him the best player in the nation. However, it’s difficult for a wide receiver to get the backing needed to win the Heisman Trophy. That honor is almost always the domain of quarterbacks and running backs. That could play into the hands of Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin, who received support on the Fox college football pregame show from Robert Griffin III. The former Baylor and Washington Redskins (now Commanders) quarterback cited Sayin’s accuracy and consistency as the primary factors for making him the favorite in the race for college football’s most treasured individual award. Sayin has completed 156 of 195 passes for 1,873 yards along with a 19-3 TD to interception ratio. Those numbers demonstrate that Sayin has adapted very well in first year of competing in head coach Ryan Day’s offense. Sayin likely to face biggest tests against Penn State and Michigan The Buckeyes earned a 34-0 victory at Wisconsin, but Sayin and his teammates are likely to face a test from Penn State in their upcoming game. The Nittany Lions were expected to win the Big Ten title before the start of the season, but a three-game losing streak has derailed the team and cost head coach James Franklin his job. The Penn State defense is likely to be angry when they see the Buckeyes. Penn State may be able to challenge Sayin and the passing game The Buckeyes should have their way in the following games against Purdue, UCLA and Rutgers, but the regular-season finale at Michigan could be their toughest game of the year. Ohio State has lost four consecutive games to the Wolverines, and the pressure to end that losing streak will be intense for Sayin and Day.

Venezuela Fury, 16, Reveals What Dad Tyson “Really” Thinks of Her Engagement to Noah Price

Venezuela Fury has the full support of her parents, Tyson Fury and Paris Fury, ahead of her wedding to Noah Price. After getting engaged to her boxer boyfriend at her 16th birthday party, Venezuela told The Sun her now-fiancé asked her father, 37, for his blessing before getting down on one knee. Though she told the outlet that Noah was “having palpitations about doing it," Venezuela said it immediately became clear to her during the proposal, which took place in front of all of her family and friends last month, that Tyson “wouldn’t interfere." She added that her athlete father is "very happy for us.” As for how Venezuela felt about the grand gesture, she told The Sun that the proposal “came as a huge surprise.” “I wasn't overly emotional because I was so surprised and I was very nervous, as I realized a lot of people were watching me,” she said. “It was a very exciting moment, though, probably one of the best of my life. But I would have been content if he had asked me to marry him anywhere. I didn't care about the 'big proposal', but I am very happy.” Though Venezuela admitted she has yet to meet Noah’s family because he lives a few hours away and works during the week, she has received an abundance of support from her own mother, who married Tyson in November 2008. (Paris was just 19 years old at the time.) “Venezuela is only young, she's only 16 and she is engaged, but we are really happy for her, and it's her choice in life,” Paris, 35, told the Daily Mail in a recent interview. “It is a lovely moment, that's what I'm saying to her, enjoy this moment, enjoy where you are. I am really proud of her. I have said to Venezuela she has been shown different avenues in life and been offered different opportunities, and this is what she has chosen.” Never miss a story — sign up for PEOPLE's free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. However, the mom of seven went on to admit that she isn’t quite ready to call herself a grandmother before she’s even reached her 40s. “I will smile, but I really don't think I'm ready to become a granny,” the At Home with the Furys star said. “I couldn't be an old-looking granny. I will have to be the youngest-looking granny ever.” Paris continued, “I install into her, Venezuela, enjoy your life, travel, see places, even if it's them together. Although I don't believe there is anything more fulfilling than motherhood.”

George Springer gets massive injury update for ALCS Game 6

The Toronto Blue Jays witnessed George Springer walk off in discomfort in Friday’s game at Seattle. The designated hitter received a massive injury update ahead of Game 6 of the American League Championship Series (ALCS). Springer took a hit by pitch that forced him to leave. Baseball columnist Shi Davidi dropped this Saturday update. “John Schneider said George Springer is feeling better, CT Scan confirmed X-Rays that showed no fracture. Getting more treatment today,” Davidi posted on the social media website X, formerly Twitter. The manager Schneider added via Keegan Matheson of MLB.com that he’s “hopeful and optimistic” that Springer will swing the bat in Game 6. “Just tell me he’s good to go and he’s good to go. Georgie’s played through a lot, probably more than you guys know,” Schneider shared via Matheson. Blue Jays manager ripped Mariners fans for this George Springer moment Nick Turchiaro-Imagn Images Springer became involved in a tense moment between the Blue Jays-Mariners…one that Schneider called out. “I think the fans that were booing him should take a look in the mirror and understand what kind of a player he is,” Schneider explained. He also urged the fans to realize how painful Springer’s ailment was. “When a guy gets hit in the knee and is in obvious pain, and you have 40,000 people cheering, not the right thing to do,” Schneider said. The Blue Jays’ offense has re-erupted at T-Mobile Park before the Game 5 loss. The visitors scored 13 and eight runs to even the series at 2-2 in front of Mariners fans. Andres Giminez and Vladmir Guerrero Jr. blasted home run in the Game 4 rout. But Seattle kept Toronto’s offense in check Friday — allowing seven hits but no one pounding multiple smacks at the bat. The series shifts backs to Toronto on Sunday.

The family that grifts together stays together

The family that grifts together stays together

During President Donald Trump’s first term, Don Jr. was arguably the most high-profile of his misbegotten offspring, complete with a nice big role in Russian interference in the 2016 election. And who can forget Ivanka Trump, with her daddy claiming that she somehow created 14 million jobs? Well, now it’s Eric’s turn to shine. And he’s going to shine by … having his daddy set up his deals. During the recent Middle East “peace summit,” Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto was caught on a hot mic asking Trump, “Can I meet Eric?” This led to Trump positively gushing, “I’ll have Eric call. Should I do that? He’s such a good boy. I’ll have Eric call.” The pair also talked about looking for “a better place.” Eric, of course, is in charge of the Trump Organization’s two big development projects in Indonesia. For some reason, we’re still pretending that Trump is not involved with his family’s private business and keeps everything in a trust. But it’s so obvious that Trump is open for business that Subianto, while at a peace summit in his official capacity, didn’t even hesitate to approach Trump to ask for a personal business introduction to one of his adult sons. The Trump Organization is also doing a $1 billion development in Saudi Arabia, which “in a nod to the US president’s New York real estate background will form part of a larger scheme dubbed ‘Manhattan.’” And we can’t forget the endless crypto grifting, can we? Or Trump making sure that he got the presidential seal in the picture when pimping Eric’s book, which of course we all totally and completely believe Eric wrote himself, right? But Eric’s explanation of the hot mic moment, such as it is, is that he is indeed a good boy. So, a world leader asked your dad, the president, at an official event, to put him in touch with you, the president’s son, to do a deal with the president’s personal family business. This is magnitudes worse than any of the frenzied accusations the right lobbed at Hunter Biden. But according to Eric, this is totally fine and not at all unethical because “I’ve never met the president of Indonesia.” Eric also insists that the entire exchange between his dad and Subianto actually shows that “there’s a huge wall” between Trump’s presidency and his businesses. Eric. Do we have to spell it out for you again and again? The Indonesian president asked your dad, the president, while at an official “peace summit,” to meet you, the person heading up the Trump Organization’s developments in Indonesia. And your dad—again, the president—fell all over himself, agreeing to set up a meeting. That’s not a wall. It’s no wonder, though, that the Trump family wants to vibe with Subianto, who has been credibly accused of war crimes, so much so that he was discharged from the military. He commanded the country’s special forces and ordered student activists to be kidnapped, and he was barred from even coming to the United States for years due to his record of human rights violations. Huh. Come to think of it, he’d fit right in at the Trump administration.

City recognized for 2024-34 You Are Here Kamloops Cultural Strategic Plan (Kamloops)

The City of Kamloops has received a national award for its cultural strategic plan. In a news release, the city said the 2025 Creative City Impact Award in Cultural Planning was presented at a summit held on Oct. 7 in Kingston, Ont. The award was given in recognition of the You Are Here Kamloops Cultural Strategic Plan, which took shape after a months-long cultural mapping exercise hosted in collaboration with Thompson Rivers University at the Kamloops Museum and Archives. The document lays out a 10-year arts, culture and heritage vision for Kamloops. “Culture is an essential component of a community’s shared identity,” said Dusan Magdolen, the city’s cultural service and events manager, in a statement. Magdolen and Julia Cyr, museum supervisor, accepted the award alongside TRU’s Dr. Will Garrett-Petts and Patricia Huntsman, a consultant who helped put together the plan. “The community-based cultural mapping work being led by the TRU research team has the power to augment more traditional asset mapping and record the community’s intangible assets — turning individual story maps and deep interviews into highly accessible art exhibitions and rich data for cultural planning,” Garrett-Petts said. “We are honoured to be a part of this remarkable community-led collaboration.” The award was given out by the Creative City Network, a national non-profit professional association dedicated to strengthening municipal cultural policy and planning.

Corinthians Add Another Copa Libertadores Femenina Title To Their Cabinet

Corinthians are the most successful side in the Copa Libertadores Femenina. (Photo by LUIS ROBAYO/AFP via Getty Images) AFP via Getty Images Corinthians won the 2025 Copa Libertadores Femenina for a record sixth time after narrowly getting the better of Colombian side Deportivo Cali. The two-time defending champion certainly had to be considered the favorite going into the game, even though both sides’ routes to the final were nearly identical. Both drew their opening group stage game before winning the following two with clean sheets to finish on top of their respective standings. Corinthians then put four past Argentine side Boca Juniors in their quarterfinal, while Deportivo Cali put together an impressive display to beat São Paulo 2-0. Both semifinals went to penalties as Ferroviária scored a late equalizer in the all-Brazilian affair before losing out in a 14-kick shootout, while the Colombians saw out a goalless draw with Chilean champions Colo-Colo before prevailing with a spotless record from 12 yards out. The two teams had met once in the past–in the 2022 group stage when Deportivo Cali staged a memorable upset by beating the defending champion 2-1 on the opening day of the tournament. This was Las Verdiblancas’ fourth appearance in the premier South American women’s football tournament, but they had never previously gotten as far as the final. Understandably, then, it was Corinthians who looked more in control in the opening exchanges of the match. The Brazilian champion certainly kept much more of the ball, but did not pose too much of an attacking threat in what proved to be a pretty quiet first half. Noteworthy chances were few and far between, but the title holders thought they scored on the stroke of half-time as they managed to bundle a set piece in. After a fair few minutes of a detailed VAR review, a subjective offside was found, and the goal was cancelled. Corinthians came out with some more attacking intent after the break, but a clear-cut opening remained elusive. Deportivo Cali did not sit around passively and soon began to try to generate some threat of their own, leading the game to open up more. Still, neither keeper could be beaten or even seriously troubled for the most part, so penalties were needed once again. MORE FOR YOU 40-year-old Corinthians captain Gabriela Zanotti converted the first attempt, and she was matched by her Colombian counterpart Paola García. Deportivo Cali slipped up on the second time of asking, though, as Kelly Ibargüen’s effort crashed off the frame of the goal and came right back to her. Seizing the advantage, each of the Brazilian side’s takers held their nerve, setting up teenage talent Jhonson to deliver the final blow and win the shootout 5-3. With that, Corinthians won the Libertadores for a record-breaking third consecutive time. Their status as South America’s best team is certainly very hard to dispute as they have now won both the continental crown and their domestic league in each of the last three occasions. For the first time, the Libertadores winner also got a ticket to another international competition. The inaugural edition of the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup will kick off in early 2026, in which Corinthians will get a direct ticket to the semifinal to face CONCACAF champion Gotham FC.

Haga po barazon agresorin me viktimën.

Who is Graham Platner, an Oyster Farmer Running for Senate in Maine?

Graham Platner, a Democratic candidate for the US Senate in Maine, has apologised for a series of past social media posts in which he referred to himself as a "communist," criticised police, and made disparaging comments about rural, white Americans. In a video posted on X on Friday, Platner said: "For those of you who have read these things and been offended, have read these things and seen someone that you don't recognise, I am deeply sorry." Platner, an Army and Marine veteran, told CNN that the posts, some dating back to his time in Iraq and Afghanistan, reflected a period of "disillusionment" after returning from military service. "When I got back from Afghanistan in 2011, I stayed in the Army for another year. I got out in 2012. Some of the worst comments I made, the things that I think are least defensible, that I wouldn't even try to defend, come from that time," he said. He added: "I made comments that I'm not happy about, that I do not agree with, but they came from a time and place in my life… As I read through the comments that were released, I can see myself changing. My language gets less crude, my thoughts and my feelings get a lot less kind of rough around the edges." Platner acknowledged that some Reddit posts described himself as a "communist" or "a vegetable-growing, psychedelics-taking, socialist." He wrote: "After the war, I've pretty much stopped believing in any of the patriotic nonsense that got me there in the first place, and am a firm believer that the best thing a person can do is help their neighbours and live a loving life." In interviews, Platner stressed that these posts no longer reflect his views. "I'm not a communist. I'm not a socialist. I own a small business. I'm a Marine Corps veteran," he told CNN. He also addressed posts criticising law enforcement, including one in which he wrote in 2021: "Bastards. Cops are bastards. All of them, in fact," and another in 2020 commenting on rural white Americans: "Living in white rural America, I'm afraid to tell you they actually are [racist]." Platner said his views have evolved as he became less isolated and built a community in Maine. "I was in different places that I'm not in now, I had different feelings that I don't have now, I had different thoughts and opinions that I certainly don't have now, but I am very proud of the person I am today," he said. "While I won't defend things I said in the past, I will just say that if it wasn't for that entire journey, I would not be who I am today, and I'm incredibly proud of who I am today." Who is Graham Platner? Graham Platner is a Marine and US Army veteran, oyster farmer, and chair of the Sullivan Planning Board. He is running in the Democratic primary for the US Senate in Maine, seeking to unseat Republican Senator Susan Collins. After graduating high school in 2003, Platner enlisted in the US Marine Corps and served multiple tours in Iraq before joining the Maryland Army National Guard and deploying to Afghanistan. Following his military service, he struggled with undiagnosed PTSD and physical injuries, eventually returning to Maine and focusing on serving his local community. Platner began working on a small oyster farm in Sullivan in 2018, later taking ownership and expanding the business. He also operates a diving and mooring service and serves as Sullivan's Harbormaster and Planning Board Chair. Platner met Amy Gertner in 2023 and married soon after. The couple lives in Sullivan with two dogs, Gryffin and Zevon, and a cat, Neptune. Get Latest News Live on Times Now along with Breaking News and Top Headlines from US News and around the World.

Packers latest roster updates will catch fans’ attention before Cardinals game

The Green Bay Packers are heading to the road for consecutive games away from Lambeau Field in Weeks 7 and 8 against the Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers. There’s no such thing as an easy road game in the NFL, and head coach Matt LaFleur knows that. The Packers are in first place in the NFC North and they can’t afford a slip up in either game. The Packers may not have cornerback Keisean Nixon against the Cardinals as he was added to the team’s injury list because of an unspecified illness. He is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. Additionally, the Packers have added running back Pierre Strong Jr. to the active roster from the team’s practice squad. The Packers are looking for their first road victory of the season. They dropped a 13-10 decision to the Cleveland Browns in Week 3 as they let that game slip away after leading well into the fourth quarter. They also played a 40-40 tie game against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4. While Jordan Love and the offense was productive throughout the game, the Green Bay defense was not able to contain Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. Neither team was able to separate in the overtime period. Cardinals have lost four straight games The Packers defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6 to get back on the winning track, but the Cardinals have fallen on hard times after winning the first two games of the season. They have since lost four consecutive games and have fallen into last place in the NFC West. All four of those losses have been close games, with two defeats by a single point and none by more than five points. The Cardinals will not have quarterback Kyler Murray in the lineup because of a foot sprain, and they will once again turn to Jacoby Brissett to lead the offense. If Jordan Love and the Packers get off to a strong start, it may be difficult for Brissett to play catch-up with the Cardinals offense.

Enjoy millions of Americans saying 'No Kings' to our dumb president

On Saturday, millions of Americans across the country, in cities large and small, turned out to protest the wannabe dictator occupying the White House. Contrary to absurd and baseless whining from Republicans all week about “antifa,” the protests were not a show of hatred of the country, but rather, a great love of it. And as for those equally baseless claims that some evil mastermind was paying for all of those millions of protesters to show up? It was perfectly clear from all the handmade signs that these were just regular Americans who love their country and hate what their fascist president and his minions are doing to it. Here are some great photos from New York City, across the country, and around the world. The Portland frog has become a beloved symbol across the country and made an appearance in New York City, where everyone—kids, grandmas, protest organizers—wanted a picture. Many other inflatable characters marched through the streets too. Many protesters carried this sign through New York. The Trump administration’s bogus prosecution of Attorney General Letitia James is not welcome here. George Soros probably didn’t pay for this sign, but he should. What a talented artist! They also hate kings in Germany. And of course our nation’s capital turned out big time. The wannabe king is not beloved in Spain. Alabama? That’s a red state, right? In Washington, Trump’s goons have been patrolling and harassing people on 14th street. On Saturday, however, it was a very different vibe. The Portland frog has gone international. No love for the petty dictator in France. The president’s home town has no love for him. Can you spot the antifa? Big dumb baby president. Have the protests been peaceful? You bet. So peaceful that even the New York Police Department put out a statement saying so: Share your No Kings pics and stories in the comments!
