Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins on Tuesday said that the U.S. is considering imports of beef from Argentina to reduce prices that have been at record highs this year. Rollins said in an appearance on CNBC's "Squawk Box" that the Trump administration is preparing to announce a plan to import beef from Argentina to help increase the beef supply, as prices surged with cattle inventory declining to the lowest level in decades. "The president has mentioned it a couple of times, I think you'll be hearing more about exactly what that looks like," Rollins said. "In America, we consume about 12 million metric tons of beef, 10 million of that we produce here in America, but the 2 million I'm talking about we've been offshoring." GOP LAWMAKERS WARN TRUMP'S ARGENTINA BEEF PROPOSAL COULD RATTLE US RANCHERS Rollins said that within the 2 million metric tons of imports, there is a distinction between ground beef purchases versus muscle cuts of beef. She added that imports from Argentina "will not be very much" when compared with the 12 million metric tons of U.S. beef consumption. The agriculture secretary also noted that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will be closely monitoring imports for foot-and-mouth disease due to an outbreak affecting Argentine cattle. "Argentina is also facing foot-and-mouth disease issue, which we at USDA have to ensure that our livestock industry is secure. And I know you've heard a lot about the screwworm coming up from Mexico, foot-and-mouth is a challenge too," Rollins said. BEEF PRICES HIT RECORD HIGHS AS NATIONWIDE CATTLE INVENTORY DROPS TO LOWEST LEVEL IN 70 YEARS "We're going to ensure that our livestock industry is protected," she added. "This is a very nuanced, very complex market that we're moving in every potential possible direction to make sure that we've got a good future for these ranchers." National Cattlemen's Beef Association CEO Colin Woodall told FOX Business in a statement that the trade group's "family farmers and ranchers have numerous concerns with importing more Argentinian beef to lower prices for consumers." AMERICAN SOYBEAN FARMERS FACE FINANCIAL CRISIS AS CHINA TRADE DISPUTE THREATENS LIVELIHOODS "This plan only creates chaos at a critical time of the year for American cattle producers, while doing nothing to lower grocery store prices," Woodall said. He also noted that the U.S. and Argentina have had a "deeply unbalanced trade relationship," with beef sales from Argentina topping $800 million over the last five years while just $7 million of U.S. beef has been sold in Argentina. GET FOX BUSINESS ON THE GO BY CLICKING HERE Woodall warned that if foot-and-mouth disease is brought into the U.S. it "could decimate our domestic livestock production."

Every week there's one of the electric-wheel riders. They actually achieve looking cool, although most seem to feel more cool than they earn; they bought it, charge it and maybe learned not to crash iat. Here's your participation trophy. This last week a wheel rider also had a kid on one behind him. They didn't ride close or side-by-side. They seemed to be giving each other enough distance they wouldn't risk crashing each other. When Mo-Peds were popular you rarely saw them on sidewalks and you didn't see them zip across intersections or crosswalks without looking. On the ROG Xbox Ally X launch day last week, Mashable sat down with the President of Xbox, Sarah Bond, and she confirmed some interesting details about the next-gen Xbox console. We asked Bond about the rumors that the future Xbox console will be a more high-powered device, more like a gaming PC than a traditional Xbox console. She said the next Xbox will definitely deliver a "premium experience" for gamers. “Well, I can tell you you're right that the next-gen console is going to be a very premium, very high-end, curated experience. You're starting to see some of the thinking that we have in this handheld. But I don't want to give it all away.”So, what is that thinking, exactly? In our interview, Bond emphasized the ability to play games from any store or platform anywhere, at any time. She also said that the industry is moving away from blockbuster exclusives, which has traditionally been a focus around big console launches."We're really seeing people evolve way past [exclusives]," Bond said in her sit-down with Mashable. "The biggest games in the world are available everywhere. You look at Call of Duty, you look at Minecraft, you look at Fortnite, you look at Roblox. That's actually what's really driving community in gaming. That's where people gather and they have experiences. And the idea of locking it to one store or one device is antiquated for most people. You want to be able to play with your friends anywhere, regardless of what they're on. And we're really leaning into that with this experience."Bond also said that gamers shouldn't be tied to a particular console or store. window.videoEmbeds = window.videoEmbeds || []; let data = {"id":87723,"uuid":"06LClsfJRbDHaZ5itmCTnFK","slug":"07JR7rd6f5mcXxKXVSOsCWE","status":"Published","type":"mashable","original_file":"originals\/cms\/07JR7rd6f5mcXxKXVSOsCWE-original-1761156843.mp4","url":"https:\/\/vid1.ex.co\/video\/upload\/sp_exco_fhd\/wf6feonmiadyaxwl6aac.m3u8","thumbnail_url":"https:\/\/cdn.ex.co\/video-uploads\/production\/0010J00001l1J64QAE\/5e1f1687-0bb1-49d7-b59a-943c7e56595d-thumbnail.jpeg?cb=1761157103466","transcoded_urls":[],"title":"ROG Xbox Ally X Hands-On Interview with Xbox CEO, Sarah Bond (Extended)","deck":"Mashable Tech Editor, Timothy Bech Werth, sat down with XBox CEO, Sarah Bond, to discuss the new ROG Xbox Ally X handheld.","disable_ads":null,"duration":343,"source_info":null,"processing_info":null,"provider_video_id":"5e1f1687-0bb1-49d7-b59a-943c7e56595d","provider_video_status":"active","provider_video_metadata":{"id":"5e1f1687-0bb1-49d7-b59a-943c7e56595d","status":"active","userId":"38c131e6-695d-4e90-bae4-93fdad2c888e","createdAt":"2025-10-22T18:08:26.840Z","mediaData":{"width":null,"height":null,"poster":"https:\/\/cdn.ex.co\/video-uploads\/production\/0010J00001l1J64QAE\/5e1f1687-0bb1-49d7-b59a-943c7e56595d-thumbnail.jpeg?cb=1761157103466","mimeType":"video\/mp4","mediaType":"video","originalVideoUrl":"https:\/\/vid1.ex.co\/video\/upload\/c_limit,h_1080,vc_h264,q_auto\/wf6feonmiadyaxwl6aac.mp4","streamingSourceURL":"https:\/\/vid1.ex.co\/video\/upload\/sp_exco_fhd\/wf6feonmiadyaxwl6aac.m3u8"},"updatedAt":"2025-10-22T18:18:23.490Z","videoSpecMeta":{"link":"","tags":["asus rog xbox ally","rog xbox ally x handheld","rog ally x","gaming","game console","console","nintendo switch","interview","hands-on","ai","artificial intelligence"],"title":"ROG Xbox Ally X Hands-On Interview with Xbox CEO, Sarah Bond (Extended)","duration":342.375,"subtitles":[{"file":"https:\/\/cdn.ex.co\/video-subtitles\/production\/5e1f1687-0bb1-49d7-b59a-943c7e56595d\/en_us.srt","lang":"EN","type":"subtitles","transcriptionEndTime":"2025-10-22T18:13:23.372Z","transcriptionStartTime":"2025-10-22T18:13:15.736Z"}],"articleUrl":"","categories":["tech","gaming consoles","gaming","life"],"externalId":"07JR7rd6f5mcXxKXVSOsCWE","description":"Mashable Tech Editor, Timothy Bech Werth, sat down with XBox CEO, Sarah Bond, to discuss the new ROG Xbox Ally X handheld."}},"force_max_resolution":null,"created_at":"2025-10-22T18:14:02.000000Z","updated_at":"2025-10-22T18:20:02.000000Z","published_at":"2025-10-22T18:08:26.000000Z","first_published_at":"2025-10-22T18:08:26.000000Z","last_published_at":"2025-10-22T18:20:02.000000Z","excoPlayListId":"6825f5751ad7f3226d4a8257","excoPlayVideos":{"01493fd4-a8b7-428e-9d3b-04c455126f29":"01p18m6Thok2FDjXseRDL0G","05df478d-2037-4afc-8aad-2dd15cab597e":"03hb8ZIYxMrDbQAE7nCdUF7","0c77b001-bb27-42a9-90f7-0d85d4c39b1d":"01RIJPDdGTpWDV0J74L4lPr","379d7db0-c5f8-4722-89b9-f8beb2ddce7f":"03m0ZklswBlVVQDc0d8OjFB","38205c09-fbf4-4b0a-b2ee-b6d48fed0055":"05Y7hZbckPaQ9dusgv4MJt0","3a8b8dda-a0a0-4849-8625-82ff9f85739e":"05UzNPycTzYC3b4zwbvHCxu","7c1f5a54-8d5d-467a-9ea2-b43928d71399":"01dxu9SBoB7ax85fJ3GfYjg","899d9a0f-4a97-4624-8f98-589e077a5e44":"06LORjtbC5R8BJYzgCMQEk7","a30b840f-a517-4219-9cfd-293a4720eee0":"05bqo1eCQ2bTqgXYnIIGKQq","f2d0a34e-8b20-47e9-96c4-41a1f843514c":"06ADodeLHPIpZrklBIMPQO6"}}; data.excoPlayListId = '6825f5751ad7f3226d4a8257'; data.excoPlayListVideos = {"01493fd4-a8b7-428e-9d3b-04c455126f29":"01p18m6Thok2FDjXseRDL0G","05df478d-2037-4afc-8aad-2dd15cab597e":"03hb8ZIYxMrDbQAE7nCdUF7","0c77b001-bb27-42a9-90f7-0d85d4c39b1d":"01RIJPDdGTpWDV0J74L4lPr","379d7db0-c5f8-4722-89b9-f8beb2ddce7f":"03m0ZklswBlVVQDc0d8OjFB","38205c09-fbf4-4b0a-b2ee-b6d48fed0055":"05Y7hZbckPaQ9dusgv4MJt0","3a8b8dda-a0a0-4849-8625-82ff9f85739e":"05UzNPycTzYC3b4zwbvHCxu","7c1f5a54-8d5d-467a-9ea2-b43928d71399":"01dxu9SBoB7ax85fJ3GfYjg","899d9a0f-4a97-4624-8f98-589e077a5e44":"06LORjtbC5R8BJYzgCMQEk7","a30b840f-a517-4219-9cfd-293a4720eee0":"05bqo1eCQ2bTqgXYnIIGKQq","f2d0a34e-8b20-47e9-96c4-41a1f843514c":"06ADodeLHPIpZrklBIMPQO6"}; window.videoEmbeds.push({ elemId: 'video-container-01K86NWTE9CZY7BWGPZ5YPR664', data: data "I want Xbox to act like every other form of entertainment, where you can access it wherever you want, wherever you are. The thing about games is that it's deeply personal. People meet their spouses in games. People make friendships in games. It's about community, but it shouldn't be locked to one place or one device. You should be able to take that with you and be able to access it and jump in anywhere you want. And so that's what Xbox is all about."In recent years, Xbox has invested heavily in cloud gaming, and its popular subscription service Xbox Game Pass has a growing number of cross-platform titles. So, while many gamers would tell you that Sony has won the latest era of the console wars thanks to flagship AAA exclusives, Bond seems to think the industry is moving in a different direction — and she may be right. So, will the new Xbox console be more like a gaming PC or the Xbox Series X? And when exactly can we expect to see it hit store shelves?Bond wouldn't say, but she again emphasized that Microsoft and Xbox are pursuing a "premium" console experience.“Well, we are hard at work on our next-gen console,” Bond said. “There is a lot to come there where we're building our next-gen console, which delivers that premium experience, and that's always the center of what we do, but we want to give other people choice and options around that.” Other options like, say, the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X. Though, you'll have to wait if you didn't secure your handheld at launch. It's currently sold out at Microsoft, and Best Buy has a 30-day wait on new orders.

IN 1958, UNDER the rule of Mao Zedong, China began the Great Leap Forward, a four-year attempt to transform the country from an agrarian society into a modern industrialised one. It was a disaster: the industrialisation was stillborn, and the collectivisation of farming caused one of the biggest famines ever recorded. Somewhere between 15m and 50m people are thought to have died.
The Indian monsoon, which usually begins its slow northward sweep around the start of June, brings three-quarters of the country’s annual rainfall. That makes it essential for agriculture, on which almost half of Indians depend. But the monsoon is notoriously hard to predict. It is driven by differences in temperature between land and sea, the amount of snow cover on the Himalayas, soil moisture and many other far-flung influences. And climate change is making the guessing game even harder.

Sea Cucumber!!! - Rick and Morty (0) Funniest The partially translucent, pink gelatinous creatures are called skin breathing sea cucumbers. They normally burrow into the sand along the low tideline and farther out. Is it election season already? (6) Funniest Paige, yes. Condescending Ellipses (0) Funniest Looks like whoever runs the injector mold at the sex toy factory put too little pigment and too much elastomer that batch and they just dumped them in the ocean. This is why there are microplastics everywhere. (0) Funniest I was on beach on the Marshall Island where a huge amount of sea cucumbers washed up. I asked a local if there was anything useful to be done with them. He said something to the effect of "Naw man that is the food of the dead and birds".
