"Aryna Sabalenka was b**ching up a storm" - Former WTA pro gives her verdict on Belarusian's fiery exchange with her coach at WTA Finals

Aryan Sabalenka's coach, Anton Dubrov, walked out of the players' box following a fiery exchange with the Belarusian during her match against Jessica Pegula at the WTA Finals in Riyadh. When Pegula had a 2-1 lead in the third set, Sabalenka, frustrated, lashed out at the players’ box where Dubrov was sitting. After Dubrov left the match, Sabalenka channeled all her energy into the match and eventually won it 6-4, 2-6, 6-3.Former WTA pro Rennae Stubbs shed light on the intense emotions that unfolded between Sabalenka and her coaching team.“Sabalenka decided to give her player’s box a bit of a spray today at one-all in the third, two to one in the third, down on serve to go down 2–1 -- gave it a bit of a spray to the player’s box, and the player’s box said, ‘See you later.’ So Anton Dubrov was like, ‘Okay, you’re going to talk to me like that? Out of here,’” Stubbs said on her podcast (16:57).Stubbs revealed that it's rare for a player and coach to come to this point of leaving each other midway. The former coach and player said that Sabalenka, upon realizing that her coach was leaving her mid-match, turned the match around with her sharp focus.“When you know you’ve gone a little too far, it sort of makes you go, ‘Oh, oh shit, I better knuckle down here and try and win this match and stop being a little whiny b-i-*-c-h.’ Because she was b**ching up a storm, and I think it gets to you,” Stubbs said.According to Stubbs, this moment motivated Sabalenka to give her best and come out as the winner. Stubbs added:“The point was like, okay, well, I’ve got no one to bitch at anymore because my coach has literally left the building. She said he pissed her off -- I don’t know what he said or did that pissed her off, but she was obviously upset. And then when he left, she was probably like, ‘Oh shit, maybe I went too far.’ And it certainly refocused her.”Aryna Sabalenka admits she "went too far"After the match, Aryna Sabalenka apologized for the way she talked to her coach. She was full of frustration but admitted that she "went too far."“Maybe I went a little bit too much on Anton. … But yeah, I went a bit too far. I was so frustrated inside of me and I was just trying to let it go,” she said.Sabalenka also said that it was right for her coach, Anton Dubrov, to walk away from the match. She added that the incident motivated her to give her best.“Honestly, I think it was the right move from him to probably just let me be on my own … he really upset me and I was really stressed and angry on him, and that really helped me to pull out such tennis,” Sabalenka added. With the latest win, Sabalenka has almost assured herself a spot in the semifinal, with her only encounter remaining against Coco Gauff in the WTA Finals.

"Baseball is the dumbest thing in the world" - Travis Kelce's brother Jason fires brutal shot at Dodgers for "buying" World Series titles

Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce expressed his displeasure after the Los Angeles Dodgers won back-to-back World Series titles by beating the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 7 at Rogers Center.Kelce takes shots at both teams, especially the Dodgers, whom he claimed bought their way into winning the World Series."So you’re telling me I’m supposed to get excited about a Canadian baseball team and a team that just spends more money than everybody else?" Kelce said. "Who the f* cares about either? Both of them spend more money than everybody else. It’s baseball. Yeah, that’s why baseball sucks. That’s why baseball sucks, you just buy World Series championships. It’s the dumbest thing in the world."While his brother and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce found the series "exciting, epic, and unexpected," Jason wasn't a fan of baseball."Everybody knew this was going to happen before the season," Jason added. "We just had a bunch of meaningless s*** happen before it -- and then it happened. So yeah, no. Baseball is not getting my stamp." View this post on Instagram Instagram PostTravis Kelce hints why Jason Kelce might not have liked Dodgers winning it allJason Kelce is a fan of Philadelphia sports teams, as the center has spent all of his years with the Eagles and even won a Super Bowl there. This year, the Dodgers defeated the Philadelphia Phillies in the NLDS to set up the NLCS date with the Milwaukee Brewers. According to Travis Kelce, this is why Jason might be upset about the Dodgers once again winning it all."Listen, just because the Phillies didn’t make it doesn’t mean the World Series wasn’t absolutely epic," Travis said. "That was an awesome seven games of f**** baseball, man. It was back and forth. Yeah, both teams had their shining moments. The Blue Jays were up all game going into the eighth inning."Jason Kelce's sentiments regarding the Dodgers are shared by many netizens as the Dodgers continue to sign all the blockbuster free agents, making their team a formidable one to go against. They have arguably baseball's best player in Shohei Ohtani and are primed to win the World Series even in 2026.

Pranit More SLAMS Farrhana Bhatt For Telling Him To 'Die', Says 'Ghamand Ravan Ka Bhi Toota Tha'

Days after his exit from Bigg Boss 19, Pranit More has slammed Farrhana Bhatt for the comments she made about him. Pranit, who had to leave the show on health grounds, called out Farrhana for her recent remarks. The comedian’s team responded to her comments in a now-deleted post and questioned her grace. Pranit’s team mentioned that Farrhana’s digs took a toll on his health. The post read, “Dignity? Grace? Those seem to be the antonyms of her actual presence in BB19. We understand you guys were too busy deciding whether to keep the flag in the bio or not, but watching the episodes is just the bare minimum. We don’t even feel like arguing after the pathetic act she put up last week.” The post also mentioned, “However, we do agree that your negativity did win for a short while; all the ‘marr kyu nahi jaata’ comments did take a toll on him and made him ill. But remember, this win is very short-lived. Negativity never lasts for long. Ghamand toh Ravan ka bhi toota tha, Aurangzeb ka bhi toota tha… yeh toh tab bhi Farrhana hai.” While it is unclear which “flags” Pranit mentioned in his post, it should be noted that Farrhana Bhatt’s X profile has the Indian and the Palestinian flags in her bio. Interestingly, Pranit More has now deleted his X post slamming Farrhana Bhatt. Meanwhile, Pranit More’s fans are wondering whether the comedian will make a comeback on the show. Bigg Boss 19 took an emotional turn when contestant Pranit More made a sudden exit from the house, leaving fans and housemates in shock. The development quickly became the most discussed topic of the week, with social media flooded by fans sending prayers and concern for the young contestant. Soon after, Pranit More’s team issued an official health update to address the speculation and ease fans’ worries. The statement confirmed that Pranit is doing better and is under medical observation. The team’s update was met with an outpouring of supportive comments and well-wishes from viewers who had grown fond of the contestant’s positive energy inside the Bigg Boss house. Despite the uncertainty, fans remain hopeful about Pranit More’s recovery and possible return to the show once he regains full health. His unexpected exit has undoubtedly left a void in the house, but the overwhelming support from fans proves that Pranit has made a lasting impression in Bigg Boss 19.

Top Banker Jamie Dimon Commits Support to Politician Zohran Mamdani: A Strategic Alliance for Economic Advancement

Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JPMorgan Chase, recently acknowledged his willingness to assist New York City’s incoming Mayor, Zohran Mamdani, despite the latter’s socialist leanings. Dimon, known for his support of Nikki Haley in the 2024 Republican Primary, addressed the possibility of collaborating with Mamdani, a self-proclaimed democratic socialist. When asked about the potential partnership, Dimon expressed his patriotic duty, stating, “I consider myself patriotic, so I will help any mayor or governor in the way I feel appropriate. I would help someone if they wanted my help.” Dimon, a prominent figure in the banking industry at 69, was speaking at an event alongside Detroit’s outgoing Mayor Mike Duggan. He praised Duggan for his contributions to Detroit’s resurgence and suggested that Mamdani could learn valuable lessons from Duggan’s experiences. “I hope he calls up this mayor because that’s the way you learn. You say, ‘How did you do it? What did you do?’” Dimon remarked. While Dimon refrained from making premature judgments about Mamdani, he pointed out that he has observed mayors who have successfully rejuvenated their cities, as well as those who have struggled with political and ideological challenges. ‘I hope he calls up this mayor because that’s the way you learn. You say, “How did you do it? What did you do?”‘ he explained. Dimon seemed unwilling to pre-judge Mamdani but noted he’d seen mayors who both thrived and fixed their cities and others who were ‘befuddled with politics and ideology.’ ‘I’m hoping he’s the good one. That will be important to the future of New York,’ Dimon added. He became the second major businessman to announce he was giving Mamdani a chance, following longtime rival Bill Ackman’s statement earlier Tuesday. Ackman, the CEO of New York City hedge fund Pershing Square, has been an outspoken critic of Mamdani, regularly slamming him for his anti-Israel views in massive rants on social media. The business tycoon even donated over $2 million to various anti-Mamdani groups throughout the election cycle, public records show. However, shortly after the democratic socialist catapulted to victory Tuesday night, Ackman modestly congratulated him on the win. ‘@ZohranKMamdani, congrats on the win. Now you have a big responsibility. If I can help NYC, just let me know what I can do,’ Ackman said on X. Just hours before, Ackman had made several lengthy posts trying to convince voters to support former governor Andrew Cuomo. He also shared posts highlighting Mamdani’s previous comments on defunding the NYPD and pro-Palestine remarks. Mamdani once joked that Ackman, who is a MAGA supporter, spent more money trying to defeat him then the mayor-elect would even tax him. ‘He’s spending more money against me than I would even tax him. Every day it’s like a million dollars, a million dollars. I don’t even want that much,’ he said on the Flagrant podcast last month. Ackman further explained his congratulatory post Wednesday afternoon insisting that he wishes to work with the future mayor because he cares about NYC. ‘Some have been surprised by my conciliatory post to Mamdani. Mamdani won a decisive election. He is going to be our mayor for the next four years. I care enormously about New York City which has been very good to me and my family since we emigrated to NYC in the 1890s,’ he said. ‘While I did not support Mamdani for mayor and have concerns about the unintended and negative consequences of his policies, I want to do everything I can to help NYC regardless of who are mayor is.’ Mamdani thanked Ackman during an interview with Good Morning American on Wednesday morning. ‘I appreciated his words. I think what I find is that there is a needed commitment from leaders of the city to speak and work with anyone who is committed to lowering the cost of living in the city, and that’s something that I will fulfill,’ he said. Mamdani has promised several things, including freezing rent, free bus fares and tax hikes on the rich, which has some New Yorkers looking to flee the state. Before election day, a Daily Mail poll found that at least 765,000 New Yorkers would ‘definitely’ leave the city, and a whopping 2.12 million residents would ‘consider’ moving if Mamdani won. His win, which saw him take over 50 percent of the vote, means he will become the city’s first Muslim mayor. During his acceptance speech, he told supporters: ‘I am Muslim. I am a democratic socialist. And most damning of all, I refuse to apologize for any of this.’ The 34-year-old directly addressed the president, saying: ‘Donald Trump, since I know you’re watching, I have four words for you: turn the volume up!’

Knicks offense starting to gel under new head coach Mike Brown

Seven games into the season, the new three-point-heavy offense of the New York Knicks is beginning to torch their opponents. The Knicks shot 19-for-42 from three-point range and had six players score in double figures as they scored 83 points after halftime in a 137-114 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. OG Anunoby scored 25 points and Jalen Brunson had 10 of the Knicks' 32 assists in the win. Coach Mike Brown has the Knicks bombing away from deep Last season, the Knicks took 34.1 three-pointers per game, fourth-fewest in the NBA. This season they're up to 43.6 per game. In their last four games, the Knicks are averaging 18 triples and making them at a 42.4% clip. Under old coach Tom Thibodeau, the Knicks had an efficient offense, but achieved that based on an isolation-heavy approach and a slow pace. That was how the Knicks had the fifth-fewest turnovers in the NBA and had a high field-goal percentage, but it was a low-upside approach. Anunoby is particularly letting it fly, taking 7.3 attempts per game and making 41.2% of them. Jordan Clarkson and Landry Shamet provide three-point volume off the bench and Miles McBride has improved to 41.9% from deep. Mikal Bridges is thriving as a facilitator The Knicks extended Mikal Bridges this summer, and he's been a more effective offensive player this year while taking fewer shots. He's down to 16 PPG from last season's 17.6 PPG, but he's doing it while taking 3.3 fewer shots. Bridges is dishing 5.3 assists, up from 3.7 last season, as the team is taking advantage of his passing and cutting more than having him play in isolation, where he isn't as good. But they're also rebounding better, and taking advantage when they do by running off rebounds. The Knicks crushed the Timberwolves on the glass Wednesday, 50-31, getting 10 rebounds each from Karl-Anthony Towns and Mitchell Robinson in a dual-big starting lineup. Robinson grabbed all those rebounds and blocked three shots in just 16 minutes. Some of it is personnel, some of it is approach. Whatever the reason, the Knicks offense is on fire.

"Ini akhirnya mencipta lebih banyak peluang pekerjaan dan merancakkan ekonomi negara," katanya. Nazri Khan berkata, bagi memperkukuh budaya pelaburan dan meningkatkan literasi kewangan rakyat, pelbagai program pendidikan dan bimbingan perlu dilaksanakan. Beliau berkata, sebagai salah seorang speaker jemputan dalam program Bangsa Labur, penyertaannya bertujuan melahirkan lebih ramai pelabur celik saham di Malaysia. What Zohran Mamdani’s Mayoral Win Means For Democrats, Republicans, And Indian-Americans

At 34, Zohran Mamdani, the son of filmmaker Mira Nair and scholar Mahmood Mamdani, has become the first Muslim of Indian origin to be elected mayor of New York City. A onetime rapper turned assembly member from Queens, he ran as a Democrat on a platform centred on affordability and equality. In a fiercely contested race, Mamdani defeated former New York governor Andrew Cuomo, who ran as an independent after losing to him in the Democratic primary, and Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa, securing a decisive win in one of America’s most closely watched local elections. His campaign promises included rent freezes for tenants in rent-stabilised homes, construction of affordable housing, free and faster bus service, universal childcare, and higher taxes on wealthy residents. In his victory speech, Mamdani quoted India’s first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru and American socialist leader Eugene Debs, while the Bollywood number Dhoom Macha Le played in the background, a nod to his Indian roots. He will take office on 1 January 2026, but his win has already triggered debate across the US about the future direction of the Democratic Party. What The Win Means For Democrats Mamdani’s triumph came alongside Democratic victories in other liberal states such as Virginia and New Jersey, results that lifted party morale almost a year after US President Donald Trump’s return to the White House. But New York City has long been a Democratic stronghold, and Trump’s unpopularity there makes this win more symbolic than surprising. For the party’s establishment, Mamdani’s ascent has sparked both hope and anxiety. CBS News reported that national leaders such as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand did not endorse him, and that House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries offered his support only a day before early voting began. Former President Barack Obama called Mamdani shortly before the election but stopped short of endorsing him publicly. Moderate Democrats view Mamdani as the latest face of a rising progressive wing. “We hope this is demonstrating a very powerful way forward,” said Ashik Siddique, national co-chair of the Democratic Socialists of America, in comments to CBS. But others, such as Matt Bennett of the centrist group Third Way, said that “the idea that he will define what it means to be a Democrat, I think, is absurd.” Others see opportunity in his message. Democratic strategist Trip Yang told Al Jazeera that Mamdani’s victory reflects the direction the party is heading, whether its leaders like it or not, towards greater ideological diversity. “It doesn’t really matter if you run as a Democratic Socialist, as a moderate, [or] as [a] conservative. The reality is that voters care if you are a disciplined candidate who can speak to their most pressing issue,” Yang said. If Mamdani’s first year as mayor brings visible relief on rent, transport and living costs, analysts believe his approach could influence how Democrats campaign in the next presidential election cycle in 2028. But for now, establishment leaders remain cautious. How Are Republicans Responding? Republicans were quick to frame Mamdani’s win as proof that Democrats have veered too far left. “The Democrat Party has surrendered to radical socialist Zohran Mamdani and the far-left mob who are now running the show,” said National Republican Campaign Committee spokesperson Mike Marinella. The NRCC has already begun linking Mamdani to vulnerable Democrats ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, portraying him as emblematic of the party’s alleged shift to the left. Matt Bennett of Third Way told CBS News that Mamdani’s democratic socialist agenda gives Republicans “a pretty potent set of weapons” to use against Democrats in competitive districts, similar to how the “defund the police” slogan hurt Democrats after 2020. Trump himself weighed in on Truth Social soon after the election results, writing that “TRUMP WASN’T ON THE BALLOT,” and blaming the ongoing federal government shutdown for the Republican losses in Democratic strongholds like New York and New Jersey. Republicans are also expected to use Mamdani’s DSA affiliation and his support for Palestinian rights as campaign fodder. Andrew Cuomo, who ran as an independent after losing to Mamdani in the Democratic primary, accused him of being “anti-Semitic” and a “terrorist sympathiser.” Mamdani, however, clarified that while he once used the phrase “globalise the intifada,” he has since backed away from it but remains firm in his support for Palestinian rights. What Does His Win Mean For Progressive Politics In America? For progressives, Mamdani’s success is being celebrated as the biggest breakthrough since Ocasio-Cortez’s 2018 win. The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), which endorsed him early and supplied hundreds of volunteers, called the outcome “a very powerful way forward” and “proof that democratic socialist ideas are very popular.” Senator Bernie Sanders told CBS that Mamdani’s win sent a message “all over this country: You can stand up to the oligarchs, we can start electing members of Congress and mayors and governors who stand with the working class.” Yet mainstream Democrats still dominate the party numerically. A Brookings Institution study found that in the 2024 primaries, centrist candidates won about two-thirds of the races, and only a handful of democratic socialists made it to Congress. A recent CBS News poll showed that while 22 per cent of Democrats want the party to move toward socialist positions, most prefer a blend of socialist and capitalist ideas. Still, Mamdani’s disciplined focus on affordability and his constant grassroots presence have drawn admiration even from sceptics. Why Mamdani’s Win Resonates With Indians In New York For the city’s large Indian community of students, professionals, and small-business owners, Mamdani’s rise carries emotional and practical significance. His policies on childcare, housing, and public transport directly affect their daily lives in one of the world’s costliest cities. His presence at City Hall also represents a milestone for Indian immigrants and second-generation Americans seeking greater political representation in the US. Mamdani’s cultural references — quoting Nehru, playing Bollywood music, and openly acknowledging his heritage — have turned him into a symbol of Indian representation in American politics. What Challenges Lie Ahead For Mamdani? Even his supporters recognise that Mamdani’s campaign promises — free buses, universal childcare, and higher taxes on corporations — face major legislative and financial hurdles. Mamdani would need cooperation from New York State’s Democratic-controlled legislature to raise taxes or authorise certain city programmes. J.P. Morgan Asset Management wrote in a pre-election analysis that “many initiatives are not viable in their current form.” Daniel Wortel-London, a historian, told Al Jazeera that Mamdani could nonetheless surprise critics “if he demonstrates effective, disciplined leadership,” noting that even former Republican mayor Michael Bloomberg managed to raise taxes when necessary. For now, Mamdani’s biggest immediate test may come on immigration. Enforcement raids by federal immigration officers have intensified under Trump’s second term, and Mamdani, himself the child of immigrants, is expected to defend immigrant communities without provoking a confrontation with Washington. Can Mamdani Live Up To The Hype? Mamdani’s mayoralty begins amid high expectations and deep polarisation. As one voter in Queens told Al Jazeera, “It’s up to him to prove us right. Otherwise, he’ll be out the door very soon. That’s how New Yorkers are.” Whether his tenure will redefine New York politics or remain a one-city experiment in democratic socialism will depend on his ability to turn populist promises into tangible policies. For Democrats, it is a test of their internal balance between moderates and progressives; for Republicans, a new target to rally against; and for Indian-Americans, a historic moment of pride and watchful hope.
