Accounts Receivable & Banking Team LeaderMelbourne | Full-time | Hybrid | Permanent | Energy Sector About the CompanyOur client is a large, well-established organisation undergoing continued transformation across its finance function. They’re committed to building best-practice processes, embedding automation, and strengthening financial controls to support sustainable growth.About the RoleThis role will lead the Accounts Receivable and Banking team, overseeing non-trade receivables, cash management, and treasury back-office operations delivered through an offshore shared-service model.You’ll play a key role in driving standardisation, automation, and process improvement, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and maintaining strong internal controls.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts ReceivableOversee non-trade receivables (e.g. intercompany balances, sundry debtors, employee advances, rebates).Ensure timely invoicing, receipting, allocation, and collections in line with policy.Manage month-end close activities including reconciliations, provisioning, and journals.Maintain segregation of duties and robust authorisation controls.Banking & Treasury AdministrationOversee daily banking operations, cash reporting, and statement processing.Coordinate ad-hoc supplier payments and settlements.Manage banking governance – account openings/closures, user access, signatories, and documentation.Support treasury transactions, reconciliations, and journal postings.Identify system enhancement and integration opportunities with banking platforms.Service Delivery & People LeadershipAct as primary liaison with the offshore service provider, monitoring KPIs and SLAs.Conduct regular reviews, provide coaching, and drive continuous improvement.Oversee transition and knowledge transfer for new processes.Process Improvement & TransformationLead initiatives to streamline and automate AR and banking processes.Develop standardised templates, procedures, and performance dashboards.Partner with finance systems and IT teams to deliver process and system enhancements.About YouTertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance (CA/CPA advantageous)5–7 years’ experience in transactional finance with progression to team leadershipStrong understanding of AR, banking, and treasury functionsProven track record in process improvement and automation initiativesExperience managing or partnering with offshore shared service teamsERP experience (SAP S4/HANA highly regarded)Collaborative, adaptable, and capable of influencing across functionsWhy ApplyThis is an opportunity to step into a visible, process-focused leadership role within a progressive business.
