We provide the economic analysis and insight that inform smart decision-making and assist clients as they access government financial supports.This opportunity…The Labour Market Development Branch works collaboratively with our partners and stakeholders to strengthen the Yukon labour market through strategic planning, service provision and program delivery. We provide funding and advisory services to employers to help with their staffing needs. By funding key organizations, we support Yukoners to develop their skills, secure employment and thrive in the Yukon labour market.The ideal candidate for this position will join a team that develops and manages projects, identifies and combines resources within a multi-stakeholder context. Administrative support for this team includes first point of contact with the public, in person, by phone and email, service needs determination, use of automated and manual filing systems and routine processing of payments and reports. Please note selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume. When you list your work experience, include the month and year in which you started and ended each job.Experience providing administrative and financial support in a program or operational environment.Experience providing program-related information to the public and responding to inquiries.Experience coordinating and supporting application or intake processes.Experience supporting procurement activities, including preparing purchase contracts and liaising with vendors to obtain pricing, confirm availability, and resolve invoicing or product discrepancies.Experience assisting with transfer payment agreement processing, tracking expenditures, and supporting the distribution of funds would be an asset.Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.Desired Knowledge, Skills And SuitabilityCandidates should have and may be assessed on:Taking Action and achieving resultsThinking strategicallyModeling interpersonal skills and personal responsibilityInfluencing othersDemonstrating client focusExperience with developing and managing funding agreements is an asset.
