About the RoleWe’re looking for passionate Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) to support the delivery of speech and occupational services for children aged 2–10. You'll work under the guidance of licensed therapists to help children build essential skills for communication, daily living, and social participation.This is a mobile role—support may be delivered in homes, kindergartens, schools, or online.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport implementation of therapy plans created by certified therapists (Speech, OT, Behavioral).Deliver 1:1 sessions with children under supervision or indirect guidance of lead therapist.Assist in preparing therapy resources, activities, and home programs.Monitor and document progress using tools or systems provided.Provide feedback and session updates to supervising therapists.Support families with at-home strategies to reinforce therapy goals.Ensure safe, positive, and engaging learning environments.Coordinate with therapists and admin teams for scheduling and reporting.What We’re Looking ForEducation: Certificate III/IV in Allied Health Assistance, or currently pursuing related qualification.Experience: Prior experience with children in therapy, education, support work, or disability care preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to follow clinical instructions and adapt with flexibility.Reliable transport for community/home-based sessions.Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children.Comfort using digital tools to report, schedule, or conduct online sessions if needed.What You’ll GainFlexible scheduling to suit your availability.Experience in a multi-disciplinary setup with exposure to different therapies.Ongoing supervision and guidance from licensed therapists.Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child’s early development.Desirable (but not required):Experience in NDIS settings or knowledge of early intervention approaches.Basic understanding of AAC, sensory integration, or positive behavior support strategies.Apply here on drop us an email with your resume on info@slym.com.au.
