Join us and help shape the future of IT.Scope of the position We are seeking an experienced API Developer to design, build, and maintain high-performing, scalable, and secure APIs that power our applications and integrations. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development skills, deep understanding of RESTful architecture, and hands-on experience with modern API frameworks and cloud environments.Key Responsibilities• Design, build, and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs• Develop backend services and integrations with databases, external systems, and internal platforms• Ensure API performance, scalability, security, and reliability• Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions• Implement authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT, API keys, etc.)• Troubleshoot and optimize API performance, latency, and stability• Maintain API documentation using tools like Swagger / OpenAPI• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and CI/CD workflows• Support production issues and continuous improvement of API servicesQualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field• 3–7 years of experience as an API Developer, Backend Developer, or Integration Engineer• Strong experience in one or more backend languages:Node.js, Python, Java, Go, .NET, or similar• Hands-on experience with API frameworks such as Express.js, Spring Boot, Flask/FastAPI, .NET Web API, etc.• Solid understanding of REST principles, JSON, web services, and asynchronous programming• Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)• Familiarity with containerization and cloud platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure)• Knowledge of API security, rate limiting, versioning, and error handling best practices• Experience using API documentation and testing tools (Swagger, Postman)Preferred Skills• Experience with GraphQL or gRPC• Knowledge of microservices architecture• CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar• Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)Equal Opportunity StatementAt Acuative, we believe our strength comes from our people—and that includes people from all backgrounds.
