Join us and help shape the future of IT.Scope of the Position We are seeking an experienced Kafka Engineer to design, build, and manage scalable event-driven data streaming platforms using Apache Kafka. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in distributed systems, real-time data pipelines, and messaging architectures, ensuring reliable and high-performance data flow across the organization.Key Responsibilities• Design, implement, and maintain Kafka clusters in production environments• Develop and support real-time data streaming pipelines and Kafka-based applications• Manage topics, partitions, schemas, connectors, ACLs, and security configurations• Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot Kafka performance, latency, throughput, and reliability• Implement Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, and Schema Registry solutions• Ensure cluster high availability, disaster recovery, and scalable infrastructure• Work closely with DevOps/Cloud teams to automate deployments and CI/CD integration• Collaborate with data engineering, backend, and architecture teams on integration patterns• Maintain documentation, best practices, and operational runbooks• Ensure platform security, compliance, and governance standards are metQualifications• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field• +7 years of experience as a Kafka Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including cluster administration• Experience with Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, Confluent Platform, and Schema Registry• Solid knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems• Proficiency with Linux, scripting (Python/Bash), and automation tools• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)• Strong understanding of networking, security, and performance tuning• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Confluent Control CenterPreferred Skills• Experience with Confluent Cloud• Knowledge of Spark, Flink, or other streaming frameworks• Background in microservices architecture• Experience in high-traffic, large-scale distributed environmentsEqual Opportunity StatementAt Acuative, we believe our strength comes from our people—and that includes people from all backgrounds.
