Job Description

The BESS Sales Manager (Tunisia & North Africa) will drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, managing customer relationships, and delivering customised energy storage solutions adapted to the region’s evolving energy landscape.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement sales strategies to achieve growth targets across Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Libya, and neighboring North African markets Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including utility-scale projects, commercial & industrial (C&I), and off-grid/microgrid solutions Collaborate with local partners, EPC contractors, utilities (e.g., STE Tunisia, Sonelgaz Algeria), and project developers to expand market presence Achieve or exceed annual sales targets through proactive customer engagement and strategic account managementBuild and maintain strong relationships with key customers, government agencies, utilities, and private sector stakeholders Understand client needs and provide tailored technical and commercial solutions Ensure customer satisfaction through continuous communication and supportStay informed about BESS technologies, regional renewable energy policies, tenders, and regulatory frameworks Work with engineering teams to prepare technically sound proposals — including system design, configurations, and performance simulations Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and energy conferences in the regionPrepare detailed technical and commercial proposals, including cost analysis, financial modeling, and ROI assessments Lead negotiations to achieve mutually beneficial agreements with clients Coordinate with internal legal, finance, and engineering teams to finalise project contractsWork closely with engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely project delivery Share market insights and customer feedback to support product improvement and strategic planning Participate in cross-functional meetings to align sales objectives with overall company strategyTrack and report sales performance, project pipeline, and market trends within the North African region Analyse competitive activities and provide insights to management Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the company’s CRM systemMinimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Renewable Energy, or related field 3–5 years of experience in energy, renewables, or technology sales, preferably with BESS, solar, or power systems Strong technical understanding of lithium-ion batteries, inverters, and energy conversion systems Proven experience managing complex sales cycles and closing high-value deals Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office SuiteSkills and Competencies Deep understanding of grid-scale and behind-the-meter storage applications Knowledge of the North African electricity sector, including IPP frameworks, C&I opportunities, and grid connection standards Strong commercial awareness, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication abilities Highly motivated, proactive, and target-driven; able to work independently and collaboratively
